Truth and Reason –
This mouthpiece was purchased for my high-achieving middle schooler as a backup mouthpiece. Although probably largely due to his hard work and practice, he has been able to achieve better tone quality and hits high notes more consistently with this mouthpiece than his 6 1/2AL Bach mouthpiece. This has become his favorite to use, and now, the original mouthpiece has been relegated to the backup role.
Stacey Chambliss –
It produces a good sound.

I have been using Bach 6 1/2AL mouthpiece for a year and wanted an upgrade. Something that will make a broad sound. I heard most trombone and euphonium players move to 5G. So I decided to buy one. You can definitely feel that this piece is bigger than 6 1/2 and the amount air you need to use is greater. However, you can hear the sound difference. It sounds more abroad and wide. Since this is a big piece, I was able to hit lower notes than 6 1/2 also with some practice I play same high as 6 1/2.

I bought this to go with my son’s new F-valve trombone. I hated spending that much money on a small piece of metal, but it feels like quality, and made a huge difference in the trombone’s sound. My son loves it. If you drop significant cash on a nice 0.5″ bore trombone, you owe it to yourself to get the right mouthpiece.

As per daughter, this item works great on the trombone she is using. The only drawback was that it took so long for delivery
Marjorie Harris –
I purchased this to go along with a new trombone for my son. He had been asking for one so this was just what he wanted. Also, the priced was great because it was less than some others that I had priced. It shipped quickly from the seller which was also good.
TubaMan –
I am a brass doubler, primary on tuba. I’m getting back into trombone playing. I was using a Bach 6 1/2 AL, but my tone wasn’t solid. I decided a bigger mouthpiece was in order. The 5G is perfect for a symphonic bore (0.547) trombone. Everything comes out clear. I should have switched earlier.

Arrived in perfect condition, made me feel bad for playing it because it was so shiny and perfect. lol. Feels smooth when playing, a great size to play on.
