I use this in a rat litterbox, definitely wouldn’t use it as general bedding but it works pretty well as litter. It is not dust-free but as long as it’s not being kicked around it’s okay. It says it’s unscented but it has a slight perfume-y scent which isn’t ideal for rats. Seems to contain smell well, people are surprised to learn I have rats when they come over because they say they can’t smell them(air purifier helps too).
But overall, as long as the rats aren’t coming into contact with it(there is a grate over their litterbox) I think it’s fine. There are better litters out there but they are usually really expensive so I use this to supplement and make the more expensive stuff last longer by mixing about half and half. I change it twice a week but you could probably get away with once a week for two rats.
It fits nicely, especially with the adjustable strap. The material is semi thick and it’s very soft. Super happy with this purchase! –

It’s not THAT soft, and has a little bit of natural scent. Also, the pellets look and feel pretty similar to stray, uh, “rattie raisins,” so it makes cleaning up after my rats tricky…

I got this litter while trying to potty train my daughters guiena pigs. At first I changed it once a week. Now the guinea pigs are potty trained I change one litter box every 3 days and the other once a week. Out of every brand I’ve tried this one does the best as far as odor protection and the guine pigs seem to like it better as well.

I got 3 out of the 5bags I ordered. I wasn’t happy the person who dropped off today gave me some one else packag and left mine on the truck. I do understand mistakes happen as long as they don’t keep happening. I’m impressed with with the product itself in the Odor Control I have several rats that I breed and after trying several other litters that did Odor Control this has been by far the best one I did a control test on one of my tanks to see how long it would take until the odor was noticeable and it was over 2 weeks now it also depends on how many you have I had a very large cage with only three rats I will continue to buy this product

Pensé que estaría mejor, pero no, a mis conejos no les gusto nada y para ser sincera no absorbe como dice además de que tenía que cambiarlo al día siguiente por qué no minimiza el olor, al contrario huele mucho más. Tal vez con otro tipo de mascota funcione mejor.

I’ve been using this bedding for 3 years now. It holds odor for about 5 days, then I change it.
I have a cat litter bin for my bunny and use puppy pads under the bedding to soak up more of the urine as this will not be enough by itself.

This was great bedding for 25+ gram mice! It was very absorbent and there was no notable smell after 10+ days. The bedding did a great job both with smell and comfort for the wee ones.
I have used many types of bedding including bed-o-cobb. This was certainly one of the nicest. There was no notable dust or powder or other fluff or airborn “stuff”.
This is a large bag. I put 1/2″ bedding in 10 shoe-box enclosures and was surprised that the bag was still full! The bedding is very light in weight as well, it expanded when spread and so this bag will go a long way. Fortunately the bag has a ziplock closure!
My guess is that I will get more than 10 or 15 changes on the 10 enclosures from this one bag. It may even last 6 months!
