I wasn’t sure what to expect from this, but I will say, I had my expectations set relatively low. I was pleasantly surprised when they arrived. It’s much sturdier and better built than I had expected that it would be. I’m a little over 6 feet tall and weigh about 240 pounds. Getting in and out of it was a bit of a struggle, but I just slid the steps from the hot tub over next to it to assist me. Once Inside, I fit relatively well and didn’t have the uneasy feeling that it was going to burst like I’d thought I would.
Several months ago, I purchased some really large silicone molds for ice cubes from Amazon. These are fantastic for getting the ice you need to cool the water down inside of this. It all worked out really well; better than I imagined. In fact, it works great! If you’re not looking to spend hundreds or even thousands of dollars on a cold plunge, this absolutely gets the job done!

As far as portable tubs go, this one is pretty good. It was easy to set up and filled quickly. It drains easily, too. The cover does NOT look like it does in the picture – it’s basically a piece of fabric with a drawstring. Otherwise, it is pretty straightforward. I’ve not noticed any leaks to date and it has held up well outside in the shade.

The space where I intended to put this worked but it is VERY tight and I definitely have to take it down because it blocks other things. THis will become a rare occasion item, because it takes so much ice! I have to buy ice and it takes more than you think, especially in the Florida sun. Also, and I didn’t think about this, I wear a medical device that can’t stay submerged, so I can only use this once in a while.
As a man, I was prepared for shrinkage, which this will provide in abundance. Also, you WILL WAKE UP! That’s kind of the point of course. It’s much better built than I expected and just right for one person. Two people will definitely crowd it. You can set this up for a party and then laugh at each other for climbing in, although as I live in Florida it’s almost a fight as to who gets in first.

So the biggest issue I have had with these tubs is that they can’t always take a larger size frame. This is an exception! And not only is there enough room for a larger body but it is very sturdy and keeps the water temp cold for longer than the ones I have had in the past.
Now if you have an issue with keeping the water chilly for days on end or while you have it outside in 111F temp, then you are being unrealistic unless the location is in a deep freezer/cooler in which case you would not be getting this tub.
It’s easy enough to set up and take down on a a daily basis and use it as needed.
I set it up either outside in the backyard or in my walk-in shower.

The good thing about these ice baths is that they only require you to stay in them for about 15 minutes any more than that it becomes extremely uncomfortable. At least for me. I had more fun building this and filling it up since it was so easy. It’s a medium size so it fit me perfectly but didn’t leave much room for my leg since I’m 6’2. The good thing is that it keeps its value because I can use it for a giant laundry basket. A very expensive high quality laundry basket. What really surprised me most is that it didn’t really have that much insulation on it nor is it very thick but it is flexible and it didn’t leak not even a little bit. However, I won’t be using this again for a while.

You are better off getting a hard sided tub with drain and cleaning it regularly, this collapsed, was not sturdy, and felt like I was in a plastic bubble moving all over the place.

Simple to use and easy to fill/empty. Can not only be used to soak in but perfect for apple bobbing at Halloween or as a massive cooler for a block party. I also use it to wash my animals.
Has a very rugged and sturdy construction. What a wonderful item with a tone of uses!

This cold plunge tub was a great addition to my sauna. It was easy to set up and filled pretty quick. The 112 gallon capacity is big enough for a chunky guy like me. It does have a inflatable cove that a lot of the others do not. So far no leaks.
