Kathleen San Martino –
I fed this dog food to five dogs in foster care (one large and four small dogs). All five dogs ate this food; four chowed down immediately and one took her time.
I love the size of the kibble which is large and triangular.
The bag claims:
– The food is made in the U.S.A. (not sure where the ingredients are sourced from)
– There’s no meat-by-product, fillers, artificial preservatives, or artificial flavors
– This food is totally grain free
I attached a photo of the ingredients list and the claims on the back of the bag. However, below are the first few lines of each.
The first four lines of the guaranteed analysis are:
– Crude Protein (Min) 26.0%
– Crude Fat (Min) 12.0%
– Crude Fiber (Max) 5.25%
– Moisture (Max) 10.0%
– etc.
The first ten ingredients in order are:
– Deboned Chicken
– Potatoes
– Peas
– Chicken Meal
– Dried Ground Potatoes
– Chickpeas
– Tomato Pomace
– Chicken Fat (preserved with mixed Tocopherols)
– Ground Flaxseed
– Tomatoes
– etc.
A cup of this kibble is 386 calories.
Obviously at the current price of $12.99 for 4 pounds this is a little expensive; however, I feel it is a quality food based on the ingredients. I like that this dog food comes in a โresealableโ bag. The dogs just LOVE this and cannot get enough; they give it 5 stars.
Lab lover –
I figured since my pups ate wellness puppy food for the first 9 months or so of their lives that they’d love this. My wife has switched to Beniful at some point and it started making my dogs sick so I decided to give Wellness Complete Health Natural Grain Free Chicken.
I transitioned them to Wellness over the period of a week and they chowed down like it was candy until I got to the 100% Wellness. They didn’t want to eat it. These are dogs who have never turned down any type of food ever and they took their time eating it. I even ate a piece to see what was the issue. It was very hard and I think they don’t like that it’s so hard. After about a month, it was apparent that they didn’t like the Wellness so I slowly transitioned them to a different food and they would eat all the pieces of the other brand and leave the Wellness. By the time they were 100% on the other food, they were wolfing it down and were excited about food time again.
I think wellness is great food and I highly recommend it but this type just wasn’t what my pups wanted to eat.

Weโve bought this flavour of Wellness before โ but I guess this was a bad bag. Dog refuses to eat it. Ugh. Well there goes $70
KReview75 –
Our bully has issues with chicken, egg and grains so I look for food with limited ingredients. Both dogs love Wellness grain free lamb. Itโs the most tolerable dog food Iโve found.
Richard Barry –

I feed both my dogs nothing else and they are happy and healthy and my 12-year-old dog has made a huge recovery from whatever you wanna call it. Old age. Over the past year and a half of eating this food. I get the feeling that this is more expensive than other choices but it must be good. As for the flavor and the smell well I canโt speak for the flavor but the smell is kind of weird. Frankly it smells like mildew to me. But that just may be the way my nose is interpreting it. The dogs love it they are healthy and happy and Iโm not gonna change.
Ko –
Our pit mix has had a fatty lump on his face for years weโve been nervous to get it removed and have noticed sparse spots in his coat. Once he started this grain free food his coat looked better than ever after about 3 months the lump was gone.
Kathleen San Martino –
Made in USA. Dog eats it well. It keeps him lean.
Love it –
My baby lab just turned 1 and I was looking to switch him from his puppy food. Unfortunately he also just got over a really bad staph infection due to allergies. I did a lot of research on different foods. My 10 yr old girl lab has had allergy issues her whole life and gets weekly allergy shots to help keep her flare ups under control. My baby is still growing back hair and having dry skin issues. His infection is gone, but it rob him of his natural oils. There are a few things I considered when choosing this food. One, it is a fish based food. That is one of the best protein sources for dogs with allergies. Two, it has a good amount of omega 3 and 6 in it. That is good for a variety of reasons, but specifically for my guys skin issues. Third, it has glucosamine and chondroitin in it. A good thing to consider if you have a large breed dog. This is my first bag. Transitioning from puppy food went fine. No upset tummies or diarrhea. That makes me happy.
