I have purchased quite a few of these external hard drives over the years and have yet to have even one fail. I use them to regularly back up data from my desktop and laptop machines. I would hate to lose my data and photos, and these prevent that from happening very well.

Backed up an entire hard drive to two of these devices, one a 1TB and one a 5TB. Primary 5TB drive failed after four weeks and Iโm left with thousands of hours of corrupted file work and lost data. There is nothing I can do to get any of it back. Purchased a second, different capacity drive from this company as well and itโs slow, glitchy and unreliable. This will be my last purchase and the most costly lesson.

Looks like older version product. Even the accompanied support software no longer works. Also doesn’t look sturdy enough. Have to re-order due to broken cover. Highly disappointed. Not recommended to buy.
