Yealink WH63 Mono Wireless DECT Headset

Really liking the presentation and protective carry storage hard cases, both compact, durable and very lightweight.

In the smaller case contains 4 different in ear plugs so you can get the best fit for you and in the main case is the headset, dongle and usb charging cable.

I always like to say, with anything that is rechargeable…..does come with normally half a charge, but it’s advisable to make sure it’s fully charged before your first use, this helps with the health/life of the battery. It has a good charge time and gives many hours of use.
This is so quick and easy to set up using the dongle to plug into your pc or laptop, just plug and play. Get for if you work on the go which requires making and taking calls, fits snuggly in the ear and has an over ear hook to hold in place for a more secure fit, but can be worn with or without it, also nice and small, feels very comfortable.
I haven’t connected to a telephone because I don’t have a VoIP phone. I was able to walk around the lower level of my home away from my laptop and never had any loss off connection.
Sound quality is really nice and clear, has noise cancelling which makes all the difference with headsets like this, a quality headset, really nice design, so easy to use. Volume touch sensitive adjustment, answer and hang up button, battery light indicator also on the side.

Very good quality, personally a little on the pricey side but it’s very well made!

Over the years, I’ve used several headsets. This has been my favorite. I work from home full-time and use this headset daily for my Zoom meetings. I’ve been using this headset since November 2021. What I really enjoy about the headset:

-Super comfortable, low profile design, very lightweight. Often times I forget that I have it on.
-Excellent sound quality, even when playing music
-Very easy to charge on the docking station, but the battery life could be longer.
-Software is easy to use, and firmware updates have been available.
-Very reliable with strong reception, I can walk all throughout my house with a clear and crisp connection. I’ve never experienced a loss of signal.
-Comes with various sizes is earpieces to best for your ear.

This Yealink wireless DECT headset is designed to fit over one ear with a microphone that hugs along your cheek.
It comes with a set of different size ear moulds,4 for each ear. There is also an optional over the ear hook.
The moulds and ear hook are in there own purpose built plastic carry case.

The headset works via DECT (Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications). This involves a two way connection between the small dongle that plugs into a USB A socket on your PC and the headset. This pairs with the dongle by pressing and holding the on/off button on the headset for up to 5 seconds. The headset has an audible voice that lets you know when it’s paired, and when it’s turned on or off.
Once paired the light on the dongle remains blue.

The headset has a useful mute button and the volume can be adjusted by simply sliding your finger up and down the body of the earpiece.

The headset, dongle and USB A charging wire all fit into a small, compact travel case with a zip around closure.

This headset is compatible with PC and Yealink phones. It is not compatible with Apple devices.

This headset worked once it had been charged. It seem to take a while to charge and the green light never did stop flashing. According to the instructions, a solid green light indicates full charge. A flashing green indicates 20% to 100% charge and a flashing red light indicates less than 20% charge remaining.

The headset is very lightweight and feels comfortable to wear for several hours at a time. The audio is clear and without distortion and the range seems good. My Colleagues listening to my voice during a Teams meeting, said that they can hear me clearly.

Overall this seems a good product that has been well made. The instructions included are easy to understand and well written.

This is our second unit first one lasted 2 yrs. Not many other options to work with our phones so bought again.

The pros are:
– About half the price of my previous brand of DECT headset.
– Lightweight.
– Comfortable in over-the-ear wearing style.
– Base has a small foot print.
– USB connection of the base to PC is reliable. This is the primary reason for my purchase of the Yealink. My previous DECT headset brand, of which I have bought many units, often have USB connection faults that require unplugging and plugging back to reset.

The con is:
– The wireless connection between the headset and the base is weak compared to my previous brand. The signal cuts off when I am two rooms away from the base in my high rise apartment. My previous brand does not have this problem. This is a significant limitation.

they disconnect all the time, we have to unplug and replug multiple times per day! at first thought it was a glitch, so we’ve now had these a little under a year and they’ve all been taken out of my call center as they can’t function properly on a regular basis, complete garbage

I purchased 4 of these, WH63 Headsets at first we were all elated, because we were able to answer call away from our desk and work hands free. Then we replace one of our computer which runs windows 11 and the sound and voice control for that WH63 quit responding and we have had little to no response from Yealink in resolving our issue with the drivers for Windows 11. Then my own personal headset only has volume available as long as I am no more then 4-5 ft away from the USB receiver. Again no response from the MFG or Dealer selling the product. I have updated firmware, reset to factory specs and still nothing. I am very disappointed with C.S. and could not recommend. The only telephone number available is a international call to China. I wonder how that would go? I have wasted, $more than 680.00. Don’t Waste your time or money
