This is a great weighted ball. I know it was brand new. A bit slippery, but it’s new! I’m glad. I use it all of the time. Love it!

It’s a medicine ball. It’s the appropriate weight, spherical, textured with grooves that you may or may not like. It also stinks. I mean really stinks. It filled my entire home with an egregious chemical rubber smell. I hid it away in a closet as a temporary solution… when I opened the closet door, the smell almost knocked me off my feet. I ended up dunking the ball in a bucket filled with soapy water and let it stay in there for a couple of hours. The smell is almost 100% gone now.

Prior to Covid I worked out at the gym with a trainer who introduced me to the medicine ball as a strength training tool. I don’t go to the gym anymore and as I get closer to 70 I find I need to modify some of what I do. The medicine ball has solved many of those issues. My hands hurt when I grip weights or pull on bands but can hold the ball without undue pain. I can also use it in partner exercises passing it back and forth, tossing and catching, bouncing up and catching, and standing back to back passing it in a circle. The ball makes the workout hard but safe. I worked out previously with a heavier ball but am finding the 10# weight to work with the exercises I do just as effective – I just need to do a few more reps. As far as pain, I live with pain- it’s just part of my life now. Working out brings some relief and keeps me limber so I don’t stiffen up quite so badly and this medicine ball has livened up my workout and my hands are relieved while my core is shouting for me to stop stop!!!!

I’ve spent 4 hours trying to get the disgusting smell and oily greasy substance off this exercise ball. I’ve used oven degreaser, bathroom cleaner, vinegar and dawn soap. It’s still there and the grease is getting all over my exercise bench. Save your money and buy something that is made in the USA!
