Let me preface this by saying I’m not using this for files. I needed a side-table (of sorts) for my bedroom that was locking. I originally wanted black, but the white actually looks like a normal piece of furniture in my room vs a file cabinet! Win!
I have an epic ton of stuff in here! Two 5.5 foot tall shelving units have been stored and organized in these three drawers! It has changed the entire look of my room! So much more organized, and it is locked away (out of sight and mind).
To give you an idea, I have almost an entire drawer dedicated to snacks of all kinds (if you’re a parent you get it). 😉
Building it was okay… my son and I put it together in about 3 hours total. The primary issue we had was the provided screwdriver was the wrong size (it was a #1 and they were #2 screws). So if you get this cabinet just know you will need a different driver. We had a heck of a time not stripping the screws until we figured it out. Ratcheting screwdriver is even more handy if you have one.
One more thing I have to mention is regarding installing the drawers. They have you take the slides apart to attach to the drawers (and then reinstall them to put the drawers in). This (I would say) is pretty hard to do alone. Both tracks have to be slid to the front (the inside slides) and you have to ensure both tracks CLICK before pushing in the rest of the way. If one side or the other does not, the drawer will not reattach (and fall).
Additionally, the slides/tracks are covered with a VERY sticky substance (oil or lubrication of some kind) that is hard to get off of your hands. It reminds me of tree sap.
I would recommend you use gloves for this part. That, and when you take the slides apart prior to attaching to the drawers, be sure to set them on a clean, dry surface (as they will pick up dirt/debris because of this sticky substance). You also want to be sure to separate the pieces (left and right) because it does matter which side the slides go on (and they are not labeled). 🙂
Oh, and it would be remiss of me to not mention that it is MUCH easier to put the top on the unit if you do this upside-down (meaning you put the top on the floor and put the cabinet on top to secure).
The holes lined up much better this way.
The only and I mean ONLY complaint I have, is the inner track of the cabinet. When you’re putting the top on, it’s very difficult to screw those side back ones in (as they are maybe 2 cm back from/ basically under the tracks). With the longer #2 screwdriver we found at the very end of the build I was able to get these in, but not until then. That #1 screwdriver was not going to get that in (and not at a slight angle either).
All that said, I would (without a doubt) get another one of these cabinets! Even with the little difficulties we faced, it is an amazing piece of furniture!
So, if you’re looking for a 3-drawer lateral file cabinet, this is the one you want. Yes you have to build it, but it is worth it (and it’s solid).

But you have to put the whole thing together yourself. I entered an IKEA nightmare. I’m usually pretty good about putting things together but since I wasn’t expecting this to be one of them it kind of messed up the vibe LOL! It’s heavy so getting it up the stairs was fun but i thought-all I have to do is open the box and slide it into the space I made for it but that was not to be. I’m a senior so maybe all my pistons weren’t firing today IDK. It took me 45 minutes to figure out how to build the drawers. You don’t need any screws and I was trying to figure out how you got everything to stay in place without screws. The instructions just seemed confusing when it came to building the drawers but once you figure out one you’ll get the rest done in no time. I’m going to go soak in an epsom salt bath now. My knees, my back…but it seems solid once you get it all together. Time will tell, for it and my body parts…

I received this product yesterday. After maneuvering it into the house, I began to put it together. The instructions in some areas were very vague. It took me 12 hours to put it together( I am a female in my 70’s). After all that work, I got the drawers installed, shut them, and they will not open again. When I called for help, the manufacturer did not return my call, but Amazon did offer a refund. They also offered a replacement, but what about the time and energy spent putting this thing together???? Who’s to say the next one won’t do the same thing?? Not a happy camper!!!

This filing cabinet is sturdy and was easy to assemble. I’m fairly handy and enjoy assembling furniture, and this cabinet was pretty straightforward. The drawer slides feel nice and smooth, and the drawers for securely.
Only hickups were when testing the drawers for the first time. Make sure the cabinet is unlocked! This and other helpful tips are all in the instructions, so you should be fine as long as you take the time to read carefully.
The box included everything you need (including a screwdriver), unless you plan to use the included wall anchors (which look very secure). It’s optional to use them, but if you plan on installing them, you’ll need a drill.
All in, it took me about two hours to put together, which feels right for this type of furniture. Once it’s assembled, it feels built like a tank!
I looked at a ton of cabinets in person and online. My budget allowed for something more expensive, but I’m glad I didn’t spend more for a “wood” cabinet somewhere else. This looks nice and will last a very long time.

I used video to step thru setup. No trouble and i did it single handedly. I will be adding another to my collection. 4 drawer for files, and 3 drawer for computer stuff and hobby storage. Happy with shipping as this was packed well. Took me 4 hours to unpack and assemble. Make sure drawers are unlocked as Its a dance to attach them to sliders (solo) – glad I checked before attending the ball 😉

I had gotten another product from this seller and was very pleased with the assembly and shipping, so I stuck with them. This one was shipped very well, it came perfectly unscathed by transit even though it is quite heavy. Not to brag or anything, but I’ve a deft hand and very experienced at assembling furniture. This one was not easy, but not impossible. I did it alone and had no serious trouble. In many locations the screws run perpendicular to a surface only a couple of millimeters away, making it extremely difficult to turn a screwdriver. I suggest having a thinner driver and maybe using a tool to twist it. It also helped me to drive them at an angle until they pass the sticking point and then finish to snug tight in the proper angle. About half way the screw is difficult, but after that it gets easy again. Another piece of advice is the drawers. Start with the bottom drawer and if you can, do one side then pull out the other track. With both tracks out, the space is too tight to maneuver the drawer well.
I’m pleased with it. It’s just like the ones at my office, except works better.
