I am a very unhappy customer. I bought this Zebco 404 Spincast Reel and 2-Piece Fishing Rod Combo for my son’s birthday less than 2 weeks ago. It says it has a “Durable Fiberglass Rod”. That is outright false advertising. The pole is so weak and brittle that it broke on the second fish that was caught on it. The ZEBCO 404 reel is great but ZEBCO should be ashamed to put their name on this Pole. It broke just above where the two pieces go together and it broke under normal use. The pole is garbage and I do not want a replacement ZEBCO pole. I will buy my son a better pole.

Zebco used to make a good reel. I ordered one of these because I have used Zebco for years and years. The reel broke the first weekend I used it. I figured I received a dud so I went ahead and got another one and I had the same exact problem again. The button gets stuck and the line tangles inside of the reel and you can no longer reel it in or untangle it. I will not buy again.
