Rechts mit Lampe und links eine Lampe (noch) ohne Birne Ich finde man sieht einen tollen Unterschied! Ob es meinen Wellis gefällt weiß ich noch nicht, habe sie eben erst installiert. Beide Lampen werden via Zeitschaltuhr bei uns an sein.
Verstehe die Kommentare diesbezüglich des Aussehens der Lampe nicht, man kann sich vorher Bilder anschauen und wenn man nicht auf den Kopf gefallen ist, googlet man diese und schaut sich auch nochmal auf Bildern diese an. Da weiß man eigtl schon was man da kauft 😀 (die Menschheit verblödet 😉 )
Qualitativ finde ich die Lampe auch super, klar ist eine zum zusammenschrauben, sie wird nicht aufgebaut geliefert und da ist klar, das man da jetzt kein Elefanten dran hängen kann. Bei uns steht sie und bleibt auch an ihrem Platz, weshalb sie eigtl nie angerührt wird.
Wir sind zufrieden, aber Achtung Leuchtmittel ist keine dabei. ( sind wir ehrlich, nie sind irgendwo leuchtmittel oder Batterien dabei 😜 )

To those who wrote bad reviews concerning this product not being able to hold its own weight of the light bulb. This is truly unfounded, as anyone with any minor mechanical know how to read instructions, each articulation point has a little knob that you tighten in order to lock the arm into position. That way the light bulb will not pull the unit out of position. If one reads the directions, then one gains this knowledge. Also, a quick inspection of the whole unit by those of us that have a greater understanding of basic stuff like this will grasp this concept with greater speed.
I have had nothing but success with this light. It has been adjusted it into many different positions with great success. While the other reviews are correct, the upper portion of this lamp is plastic, it does its job very well and is aesthetically pleasing in most decor. My plants, conures and cockatoos all agree too that this is a great product. Coupled with an outlet timer, this works even better. I set my timer to turn it on just after sunrise and turn off around 8pm. This works great, as it gives maximum UV light time to all my animals and plants in the bird room. I will be getting another unit real soon to put in the main living space where the birds spend a lot of time on the weekends, so I don’t have to continuously move the lamp from room to room.
One must be keenly aware however. this unit DOES NOT come with a bulb. You will have to purchase this separately, and can in some cases cost just as much as the lamp itself so beware. Aside from the added nuisance of the bulb, this is a five star product and will gladly recommend this lamp to anyone looking for such a product.

So I saw some bad reviews on this and was skeptical, but upon receiving mine I was happy. It has a nice round sturdy base, it’s nice and heavy enough to hold the lamp up with ease. The neck turns super smoothly in many directions. You can also spin the plastic that covers the bulb which I think is helpful. The box says new and improved and that is is. Definitely recommend even for the price. It doesn’t come with a bulb as stated. So yo will have to purchase one. I ordered both things together and got here at the same time

I have seen many negative reviews for this item…..don’t know why. Maybe the earlier lamp was flimsy, I have no way of knowing that, but because of them I was a bit concerned about whether to buy this item; however, since it was literally the only one I could find (after much internet research) that was tall enough to go OVER our Citron cockatoo’s large cage, which is what it needed to do, I went ahead and ordered it. Glad I did….it is NOT flimsy, nor hard to put together, so I am very pleased. The man who takes care of our salt water living reef tank says he has always been pleased with Zoo Med products he has purchased, so…hmmmm,why the really bad reviews? Maybe the company upped the quality after the bad reviews? Anyway, I am very picky about products & I would recommend this for your birds….

My parrot loves this she sits for ages. I live in a flat now so no longer put her outside. It’s very good. You have to buy the bulb separately tho. I leave it on for a few hours but not if I am going out..

Not as tall as it looks in the pics. And they have the size listed as 4” x 8” in description I assumed they made a mistake and it was 8’ but nope. Doesn’t reach over my cage. So kind of a waste of money for me.
