I’ve been purchasing these bulbs for our red-eared slider for years. He basks under them happily, staying warm and content in his little watery world. For the most part, these have been reliable heat bulbs for our pet of seven years, and we have no intention of changing.
We had a bulb that held up for pretty close to a year before it decided to yeet itself out of its metal contact base, and I ordered a new one right away. Thankfully it’s summer, so we could go a couple days without one. I don’t know if it was a manufacturing defect, shipping damage or what, but I received a bulb that was DOA. Ordered a replacement and… today so far it is holding up and the turtle is very happy to be basking again.
For the most part, I am very happy with this product. It would be banger if we didn’t face going additional days without basking lights due to a non-working bulb. If it had been the winter months, I would have had to scramble for a substandard heating lamp not made for an aquatic environment to get by on. I order these because I have to… otherwise, I have to drive 120 miles one way to get to a place that sells them in a physical store.

I ordered this in May 2017 and it is Oct 2018 and the bulb has finally wore out after every day use of 12 to 15 hour days. This thing went strong and I would buy it again but I need a UVA/UVB lamp but when my other lamp goes I will replace it with this one.
This has been the heat lamp for my turtle that I have ever had. I have had it for almost a year and it is still going strong.

This is truly worth the price.. Some people complain about it not last a long time. But it works great to protect against the water splashes. And so far it’s lasting a good amount of time .. So in my opinion it’s worth buying and giving it a try i know once the light gives out i will buy one again cause the price is good.
Update: April 30, 2013- So i order the 90Watt light for my turtle i just want to make everyone know the light is way bigger then the 75watt light I got before. Make sure your lamp apparatus can hold that light & Watt power!! I have the “Zoo Med Reptile Lamp Stand, Full Size” with the turtle tub kit and it fit just on point but if you have big hands just make sure you are careful while screwing it in. I will also update this on light life span…

I purchased two of these bulbs in November 2017. After less than a week, the 3 3/4″ glass lens popped off of the first one and was found at the bottom of my turtle tank. I contacted Zoo Med and was told this wasn’t normal. (I would hope not!) They mentioned their product guarantee and left it at that.
Thinking that the defect with the first lamp was a fluke, I started to use the second lamp I purchased. After just four days, the same thing happened – the glass lens fell off and dropped into the tank.
Because Zoo Med’s response to my email was so nonchalant, this may be a defect they’re aware of. They did not express any concern whatsoever about the lamp coming apart. They also didn’t ask me to take a photograph of the lamp or send it back to them for evaluation.
In my opinion, these lamps are not made well. They also present a safety concern. (You don’t want a 3 3/4″ glass lens falling on your reptile.) I’m also not sure what would happen if the halogen was splashed with water with no protection over it. Would it shatter and get shards of glass in your reptile’s habitat?

以前はタートルタフという名前だったのですが、名前変わってたんですね。
水棲ガメ用で75Wクラスのバスキングライトというとだいたいこのあたりが候補になると思います。
・GEX EXOTERRA スワンプグロー

【この3つを比較した感想】
・GEX EXOTERRA スワンプグロー
電球色。ライト付近では温かいが、電球自体は小さめで、光や熱が横に広がるため距離があると直下でもあまり温かくならない。
必要なら別途ライトドームも買って熱の方向を絞った方が良いと思う。
水槽全体を明るく照らすのには向いていると思う。
・ビバリア ハイパーサンUV
昼白色の水銀灯。使用感はスワンプグローとあまり変わらないが、防滴ガラスではない点に注意。
こちらも必要なら別途太陽NEOランプシェードとセットにした方が良い。
カメの好みにもよるが、昼白色なので少し寒々しく見える。
・ZOOMED レプティタフ
電球色のハロゲンランプ。電球自体にドーム状のレフ板が備わっており、スポットライトのように光と熱が集中しやすくなっている。
他の2つに比べて同距離ではやや温かく感じる。
ただし少々重いのでクリップ式ソケットなどを使う場合は回転方向に注意した方が良い。
うちのカメたちはこのライトがお気に入りのようです。よくライトの下で寝落ちしてます。

We were going through a high number of $5 light bulbs from Wal-mart before buying these bulbs. The cheap bulbs would break almost weekly. These bulbs lasted months and only broke then because the lamp was dropped into the turtle tank. The turtle and child were not injured. Actually, the way it broke made replacement and cleanup very easy as well.
