The design is a very good idea. It did not fit my countertop due to the top thickness.I got it to work anyways after I removed the rubber pad attached to the thumb screw. My countertop is a standard thickness for an office desk and this device almost did not work The instructions are all but worthless. I’m an engineer by trade, which helped me determine the fix. Anyone who is not able to figure this out would be upset that it did not fit a standard desk. Beyond that I still gave 5 stars because I like the concept and the quality of the product. I just think the designers need to get a better feel for what their products should actually fit. This tells me they did not research the end users existing countertops.

I wanted a hub to mount on the edge of the desk for things that I have to interact with often like a Yubikey and a MicroSD card reader. It is strongly built and grips the edge of the desk well. Most things in USB are plug in and forget but for the things you have to interact with having this close is very convenient and it wonts fall of the desk. I looked for a long time to find one that would work as well as this does.

I have a mini PC that works well for me, but it is limited to two USB 3.0 ports on the back and one on the front. I have four devices that require a USB connection to my system, so I knew I needed a hub. I purchased an ORICO hub with a clamp from another vendor, and while it works, it lacks the power connection for devices that draw more juice to operate. I found this ORICO hub that looks exactly like the other one but has a power connection. I installed it right next to the original hub, and not only do they look like they belong together, I now have four easily accessible USB 3.0 ports if I need them. The slim design and desk clamp feature save desktop space and make the hubs look like they are integrated with the desk.
I have a pair of USB speakers, a webcam, a USB microphone, and a receiver for my keyboard and mouse, and all of them work as intended when connected to either of the hubs. I’m very pleased with this purchase.

Attached to the side of a desk’s door (always open, old typewriter shelf used for laptop). SOLID attachment using thumb screw. Connected to docking station’s usb3 port, now have easy access to 4 (SHARED) USB3 ports. Orico makes great products, haven’t been disappointed yet.

It’s a USB hub. Quality of the build is very good. Comes with all the cables you need. The power input port is a little weak feeling but it works as expected. After I bought the one on my desk, I ended recommending the hub to family and bought a second for my wife. Works well. Helps me not used the ports on the computer which are difficult to reach. Easily fits on my desk that has about a 1/2″ thickness top.
