I’ve heard people say that linen can be scratchy, but even out of the box and the first wash they felt great. Nice and cool every night, comfortable and have had no issues with holes, tears, etc.
Great Buy
Andrea –
I probably should wait a while before writing a review on sheets that I received just yesterday – as soon as they arrived I tossed them in the washer and dryer and put them on my bed.
I’ve been searching for The Perfect Linen Sheets that won’t break the bank. What I was looking for was something similar to the (now discontinued) Eileen Fisher stonewashed flax linen sheets from Garnet Hill. I did a TON of research and looked at all sorts of brands like Parachute, Brooklinen, The Citizenry, etc etc etc.
So why did i pick these sheets?
1) French Flax Linen – from what I’ve read, the French sourced flax is the best.
2) Stone Washed – they were soft NOT scratchy right out of the bag (by the way these would make great gifts, as the sheets are in a linen sack – great presentation and I’m saving the sacks for future use)
3) Envelope-style pillowcases – a flap that keeps the pillow IN the case. That feature was a Must Have for me.
4) Well priced – I’d say in the median for linen sheets plus a little Amazon discount placed at checkout. French-sourced linen is usually higher priced.
5) fitted sheet has elastic all the way around not just at the corners and there’s a tag that lets you know the short side and the long side which is a nice convenience
6) just a wonderful feeling – I slept so well and was so cozy and warm but not too warm!
BTW I paired these sheets with the Pure & Opulence white washed Belgian flax basic style Duvet Cover and shams. It’s delightful to have an all-white luxurious place to rest every night. I might even start taking naps…even though I’m a day person.
highly recommended!

I’ve been sleeping on my new Sijo sheets for the past two days and so very, very, very happy about my purchase. The sheets have a nice weight to them and are generously sized. I had been sleeping on high thread count cotton sheets but with a current heat wave in New Mexico, I swear that the linen sheets sleep cooler. The linen fabric has some texture but the linen fibers have a silky feel and are soft even without washing. I know that I will love the sheets more and more over time as they get softer and softer. I did a lot of comparison shopping and am glad that I choose the Sijo sheets. I have wanted linen sheets for a long time but have been afraid of spending money on poorly made or flimsy, tear prone products. The Sijo sheets are well made and the fabric is substantial, I do believe that I will be enjoying these sheets for years. I purchased a full set with top sheet, bottom sheet and pillow cases. I am thinking about buying a king sized half set in another color to use as a bed spread set. Linen looks great with my Southwestern Country decor, I only wish Sijo would add in a line of linen towels.
One week later – I noticed that the linen fabric is more breathable than my high thread count cotton sheets. This is part of the reason that they sleep cooler. Just took them out of the dryer at “damp dry” and put them on the bed for a “French Press” that is you put the sheets on damp dry and then smooth them out and they dry pretty wrinkle free — no ironing needed. Anyway, the sheets feel very soft and silky. Still thrilled with my purchase!

Well worth the investment. I bought these a year and a half ago and they are the only sheets I’ve used in that time and they are still in good shape it seems. I wash them every 2 weeks. This is my first linen set ever, so I don’t have anything to compare it to but I love them. I’ve been wanting to try “grounding” sheets recently but I love these sheets so much that I can’t decide if I really want to make that switch, I wish I could have the grounding tech in these specific sheets haha! There is something SO cozy when climbing into these at night, also the color is gorgeous and they just keep getting softer. Also I have realized there are many definitions to “soft”, these are not soft like silk or polyester where they are smooth and slick, no, they are soft like a well worn piece of clothing. The material seems to be great quality.
When they were new they caused a LOT of lint at first, in the dryer and all over the mattress, I later noticed I had to dust my walls too, so be prepared at the beginning for that, but well worth it in my opinion. I also struggle fully getting body and hair oils out of it at times, I don’t use harsh detergents, so something else to consider. Surprisingly I might try another brand because I also really do wish there were more colors and some patterns.

First of all, I chose this sheet because it had the best reviews and because the company states on their website that they donate a percentage of their sales to the Joyful Heart Foundation, which is a great cause. I decided to switch from polyester to linen because it is one of the most sustainable fabrics out there in its production and it’s biodegradable. Best choice I’ve ever made when it comes to bedding. This sheet and my linen duvet kept me cool all summer long! I’ve never owned linen sheets before so I don’t have others to compare this one to, but I absolutely love it if you can’t tell already.
I bought the king size for my queen bed so it would hang over the sides and it give me that natural, wrinkled, oversized look I wanted over my thicker linen duvet. The color is totally accurate to the pictures Sijo provides which is appreciated because sometimes white can look too yellow or blue-toned in real life. The material is a bit “scratchy” at first but washing it fixes that (I had to look up the proper way to care for linen). It also doesn’t feel thin and it has a stiffness while remaining soft and flowy if that makes sense. Overall the quality is amazing and I’m very happy with my choice!
