At first, I disliked how the lid fits on the blending jar. The lid goes on the outside of the jar, requiring special effort to apply and remove. I thought that the screw-on base could have been sturdier. The unit turned on when I plugged it in, a potential safety issue. The buttons could all be replaced with a single switch and a speed dial.
Now, for the good news – the unit overall is sturdy and seems to work well. It’s a blender, not magic. The cleanup is simple and easy, unlike some others. The price was right, and I’m pretty happy with it. Sturdy thick jar.

I needed a blender for smoothies as my Magic Bullet wasn’t big enough for some of my recipes. I didn’t want to spend more than $100 and definitely not $600 on a VitaMix and was beginning to despair when I stumbled across this product. It was exactly what I wanted at a very good price – $50. It does exactly what it says it does. Makes great smoothies. I love the wave action and the ice crushing capabilities. Definitely recommended.

I kind of figured at the price point ($50) there is a good chance this thing would not be very good at smoothies or bowls, and I was correct. It says it has ice crushing power, I disagree, It struggled to blend ice and frozen fruit (Bananas, strawberries, and blueberries) By the time I got the consistency, it was basically thawed and liquid. It works great for non-frozen vegetables and making sauces. Cleaning is as simple as filling with water and adding dish soap and running on the clean setting. however, there is a lot of gunk that stays below the blades on the grommet. Not a very good design with the cleaning function. you need to take this thing apart to thoroughly clean it after each use or it will get funky down there. For $50 dollars a good blender for those occasional uses. If you blend a lot or want to make smoothies, I would look elsewhere. The only plus is that it has a glass bowl. My Ninja had a plastic that eventually cracked and leaked after about 7 years of occasional use. So I was specifically looking for glass.

I’ve had this blender for a few months & use it nearly every day for smoothies. It’s powerful, crushing frozen fruit & ice cubes with absolutely zero issues. The lid fits very securely & the pouring spout is a nice touch. It fits easily in my fridge if I have anything leftover & cleanup is quick & easy. I also like that’s it’s not obnoxiously loud. I’m very happy with my purchase!

So far: I’ve had this for less than a week and have figured out all the quirks others have mentioned that brought their star score down. The lid: people say the lid doesn’t stay on – watch the videos. Of course the lid won’t stay down if you don’t secure it! I find it trickier to get off. You have to push down firmly and it doesn’t go anywhere. The loose black tap on the lid: While it doesn’t “click” into place, it does stay closed. This is where you add extra ingredients as you blend, not the clear pour spout. Grinding the ice: the first couple of times I used this to make frappuccinos, the mixture/ice seemed to get stuck and I add to take the lid off and adjust it. I started to get sad about this investment. Today, I add 5-6 ice cubes at time and blended until I felt they were well chopped and I had no problem with ice getting stuck. THIS is what that black flap is for! Now that I’ve worked all that out, I look forward to using this blender for many more things. I have not cleaned the parts in the dishwasher as I use it every day so I clean it every day. I can’t say I would trust a dishwasher with ANY blender parts, but I am happy to say it is easy to take apart and clean by hand. I love the power cord cubby. It’s not retractable, but goes in and out easily enough. I love that the main part is glass. This was one of the biggest selling points for me. Lastly, some have complained about it being loud. It’s a blender. It’s going to be loud. Overall, I highly recommend!

I’m writing this over a year after purchasing this blender so hopefully this helps someone who like me had a hard time choosing between all the options & discerning between people’s reviews that love or hate the same item!
I’ve used this blender every day for a year, many days twice a day and I like what I blend to be super smooth and I also adjust ingredients as I go , so in the sense of length of time blending it’s not just a few seconds of blending it’s more like a few minutes in a few segments and so I have a basis to say that this cheaper item holds up well and blends excellently . I give grace to this thing and don’t push it beyond what it’s priced at so I don’t ever blend with ice or solid frozen fruit so I can’t speak to what that might do longer term to the blade or motor and I am gentle with it in the sense that I boil veggies first to soften them and I get great results and rarely get that bunt metal smell some blenders give of when over heat. I’ve had no issue at all with the motor or power for a year of heavy blending . It’s easy to clean , some liquid seeps behind the glass and it comes out easily and doesn’t affect the motor. The glass is great quality , it’s heavy and can withstand when I use boiling hot water or ingredients at times . The only issue I had was with the initial one I bought and returned because I thought it was a defect but second one had the same issue as well and so I just kept it.the issue is that the plastic cover does not stay sealed onto the glass, I have to hold it down if my blender is full . It’s not a big deal and stays sealed tightly when I hold it , it’s a small trade off for a very good blender at a great price and better to have to hold it than the other issue of it getting stuck and being hard to remove The cord is long enough unlike some other blenders I’ve had . The noise is annoying like most blenders , not any worse .
At this point if this blender gave out I would feel like I got my moneys worth and buy the same one again.

I brought this few days ago ,second HB blender I tested ,glass jar make it better for lemon and vinegar,I use second button from left make a mixed fruit milk shake,works wonderful,can be use for mix pancake batter,Be sure put the WET INGREDIENTS in first,I ruined a motor base once ,put in the flour and dry ingredients a little at a time.It would be wonderful to have a older type cap,this type does not seem durable like the way used to make,ideal for home cooks or gifts.

The jar is of pure glass and too heavy. Nowhere its clear from the description and details of the product.
I opted to return the same.
