We didn’t have a filet knife and since my husband has started fishing more I purchased this knife. The grip is good, does not slip but I did purchase “no cut” gloves level 6 just to be safe. So far so good. 😊

I ordered these in XL and they fit pretty good. I could possibly have gone with a large but normally wear an XL. The quality of the glove and the general feel of the glove makes me believe that the gloves will hold up to the treatment I will be giving them. I need a safety glove for fileting salmon caught on Lake Michigan. The fish can get to be over 30 pounds and are quite a handful for me when cutting them up. I have not had a bad accident yet but have nicked myself on more than one occasion. These gloves should protect me in the future. I don’t know anything about safety ratings The feel of the weave on the glove and the solid feeling of the knitted surface would indicate I will have no worries of handling the knife in the future. Additionally, the non-slip palm and fingers will keep the slippery fish properly positioned as well as keeping my hand warm.

I like how tacky these gloves are. I had no trouble gripping Knives or any other cutting tool with these. I agree with some of the other reviewers that they are a tad bit small. I ordered a size up than what i normally do and they fit perfectly. They are comfortable to wear and dry fast.

These gloves are very comfortable and are actually a US XXL size. They are super tacky so I cant wait for salmon season to start here in the midwest. I’m sure these gloves will work to hold them in place when filleting them at the fish cleaning station. As far as cut resistance goes, I did a couple of passes with the fillet knife and had no nics from the blade. These are great gloves for the price.

If you are clumsy like me–you need these. These are finger-savers! Last time we were fishing and I tried to fillet the bass (against my husband’s advice) I almost cut my finger off (for reference: I was out of practice, as well as not paying attention), thank goodness I had these on, if not, I would probably be chasing seagulls fighting them for my severed finger.
