Oliver Gray –
Initially, I really liked this bow. It shot well and felt good in my hand. I was really dismayed when I drew back to shoot it after owning it for about 9 months and it broke! I took really good care of it. It wasn’t exposed to extreme heat or cold. Looks like it delaminated on the lower arm. Lucky I wasn’t hurt.
I’d like to contact the company to see what the warranty is…

I initially purchased this bow back in May. I was looking for a traditional style bow without breaking the bank, as I didn’t know if I would commit to Trad Archery. It arrived sooner than expected, though the rest of my setup took a few days longer to get here. On first inspection, I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the bow compared to what I spent. It was a very attractive piece, with no noticeable defects or tool marks. The black walnut complimented the bamboo and black fiberglass laminates very well. Once everything arrived, I put it all together and shot this thing every chance I got. Every practice session involved me putting dozens of arrows through this bow at 15, 25, and 30 yards. I was very happy with how smooth and quiet it was to shoot, though I am still looking for the right arrow/broadhead combo for this coming season. Unfortunately, at the end of July we had a massive heatwave come in, with temperatures around 110. The high temps caused the glue to loosen up, resulting in a delamination of the fiberglass/bamboo layers. I was just outside of Amazon’s return policy, however the manufacturer AF Archery was more than happy to help me out. ShanShan was very quick in his responses, and offered to reimburse me for the cost of a new bow. With the second rendition of my bow now set up and ready to go, I will continue to search for the perfect arrow/broadhead combo, and will hopefully take my first bow kill this fall.

I’ve shot traditional bows now for over 60 years, recurves and longbows. Tried compounds once, didn’t like it. This bow is one of the better values for your money I’ve ever seen. I got it in a 45 lb. weight since as I have aged I can’t comfortably shoot the 64 lb. longbow I’d been using for almost 30 years now.
This bow is smooth and well-made. I’m more used to a traditional longbow-style handle but this one is fine, I have not had to modify it at all. It is as light as any longbow I’ve ever shot, and I’ve shot one made by Howard Hill’s protege John Schulz. I have a beautiful Zebra Nighthawk that cost hundreds more and that’s about the same physical weight and the light weight just makes bows a joy to shoot. It’s the equal of any bow I’ve seen that they now charge hundreds of dollars more for.
It is as accurate and smooth-shooting as just about any bow I’ve ever shot. I’d buy this bow again in a heartbeat!

I previously bought a Tatar bow from AF and it’s a very nice bow. I took a chance on this bow for my wife as a 35 pounder and I was surprised how quick and accurate it was. It has a punch. The bow is not a 62” inch, I think the description is an error, but it’s no problem for person with a 26-28 inch draw and the size makes it well suited for blind hunting. You’d have to have draw length well beyond 29 inches to feel any stacking. The wood is nice and has a matt finish. A close inspection may yield ever so slight imperfections in the one I received (really got to look hard) but you can’t beat the value at the price. I’m pleased with the bow. If you are new or making a switch to a longbow I’d recommend you consider it. I may even get a 50 pounder for me. I’d note the bow unstrung has reflex/deflex which places it into the hybrid longbow category. Over all I’ve been pleased with AF archery bows. I would note the string I got the serving was short and the direction was toward the lower smaller loop so I had to flip it around to get enough serving to nock the string. I will end up replacing the string, the bow have reinforced tips and can support fast flight strings. It’s a good value in the longbow category.

I bought one of these last summer (’22) and had a rocky experience with it. Was decently accurate, good pull, looked nice. Within a day of light use, the top section delaminated from the main body, rendering it useless. I figured that these things happen, and Amazon was quick to send me a replacement, which worked fine for another few months of light use. No worries.
Enter this summer: I went to restring the bow today (stored indoors over the winter, unstrung) and the second one delaminated on me, badly. Thankfully I wasn’t injured, as the wood basically snapped at the upper neck the second I pulled an arrow back.
I am an amateur who just enjoys target shooting in his yard, and it’s disappointing when something I paid over $100 for fails repeatedly. Fool me once, shame on you. Don’t buy this bow; it’s badly made.

What a smooth little shooter! Everything arrived in the box as was in the description. I have been thinking of trying out a finger tab lately as I’ve shot with a glove for 10+ years so I’m glad it came with one. It’s an “economy” tab but it works fine for my 35 lb bow. I had it set up and shooting in 5 minutes, couldn’t believe how quiet it is, I won’t even bother putting string silencers on it. Maybe I’ve just grown used to the sound of takedown bows over the years and this being a one piece bow is just drastically more quiet. Fit and finish is very nice for the price. It is extremely light, I measured right at 1lb on my scale. Pull weight was also right on the money with 35.34 lbs at 28” draw. This will definitely be my new everyday shooter for the foreseeable future. Also, this is perfect for those with smaller hands, it fits me the best out of all my bows
