It’s hard to find serving spoons that aren’t made of cheap, thin, stamped steel. I like something that feels sturdy and has a bit of heft, and this spoon delivers. When you’re scraping the bottom of a pan, you can put a little shoulder into it and not worry, this won’t bend or crumple like the cheaper spoons. Mine has been through the dishwasher a bunch of times, to no ill effect. In fact, it still looks brand new. At 10”, this is a bit on the small side, but with some dishes a smaller spoon is easier to work with. Highly recommended.

I have both this and the non slotted version. These may seem pricey but I reach for them all the time, and I expect I’ll be using them the rest of my life. For my use, they’re Goldilocks-sized. To simplify our kitchen, we’ve gotten rid of other ladles and slotted spoons that were bigger or less substantial.

Très belle qualité, mais plus petite que ce je pensais.

great quality and durability, of coarse that is all clad!

Who pays $20 for one dang spoon, apparently I do. Disliked the price but with it being Allclad you know it’s quality. Perfect for getting things out of a jar, and with the flat end there’s no issue getting to the very bottom while straining the juice or for stirring in a pan to scrap the bottom and of course using as a strainer serving spoon. Another HUGE benefit of this spoon is that it scoops out hardened ice cream extremely easy. Very handy, only negative is this particular spoon is made in Chyna. ☹️

This is a handy little spoon to have in the kitchen. It is smaller than I expected, but it’s not the size that matters, it’s how you use it. It works like a charm for poached eggs. Perfect in size (for poached eggs), the flat edge acts like a spatula to loosen any part of the egg that sticks to the bottom of the pan. I had hoped to use it for multiple applications, i.e. digging veggies out of a pot and such, but it really is a bit too small for that task. I will keep looking for a good slotted spoon for that. But, for what it is, it’s a good little spoon to have around. Well made, well-weighted, and nice looking.

I bought one, liked it so well, I bought a second. It actually can drain liquid easily when it is used. It is a good size for serving and well balanced in the hand for use. It is has thought behind the shape of the bowl of the spoon and the flat tip helps getting foods from the bottom of dishes.

Pricey but worth it. Doesn’t tarnish- cleans up well. Attractive ergonomic design. Buying the rest of the set soon.

Good spoon, sturdy and should last forever. Would recommend buying in the set vs single item.

After trying out several cheaper spoons, I broke down and purchased this for $20. It was pricey for a spoon but it works perfectly for retrieving soft cooked eggs. The flat end of the bowl of the spoon fits against the pan & makes the egg “escape proof” and the bowl of the spoon is the perfect size to cradle the small soft egg. The spoon slots allow for a perfect drain and done! If I ONLY used the spoon for this, it would be perfect. The spoon is well-made (It’s All-Clad- expect nothing less) and should last a long, long time. I love well made products (e.g. not throw-away) things. Add this one to your Christmas list.
