Shreds OK but I wouldn’t push it. Is a bit heavier and bulkier than I thought it would be and I wish that the support arms were sturdier and extended out from both sides. Unless you have the ideal shaped basket, mounting it in stable fashion will not be as easy.

I like that there is no bin to cut the cost. I use my recycling bin and shred documents into that. I’ve needed one for a long time but now I am a small business owner and need to invest in items like this to keep my papers organized. I also live in an apartment building in downtown Toronto and my mom told me I need to be careful about my address and information being thrown in the garbage cause you never know what someone might use it for. This helps me feel safe because I separate the address pieces into different bags and garbage cycles. I know that sounds complicated but at least this shredder makes it so much quicker! I also think it’s convenient that it has an ID and CD shredder. How cool is that??

My only complaint is it won’t fit on a 5 gallon bucket, but that is a minor thing.
Seems to be a tough unit, I crammed several sheets at once and it ate ’em right up.

This works so well for my office – I have a lot of confidential info at work that have to shred and now instead of collecting it all to spend an hour shredding at the end of the year, I can continuously shred as needed directly into my recycling box!
It fits perfectly over my blue bin with about an inch or two on the extended arm. Sturdy and shreds up to 8 sheets at a time.
My only complaint is that it’s almost exactly 8.5” wide, so you have to place it pretty exact otherwise it doesn’t fit. Wish it was 9” wide to allow for a little wiggle room.
Otherwise totally happy with it and glad I didn’t have to spend more $ for the entire shredder.

Does the job..did not fit on my trash can size, but it IS ADJUSTABLE to most sizes. It worked very well for numerous pages. Did not jam or overheat. The only downside is that is doesn’t shred very fine..quite large strips. It did the job for what I needed though just fine. Stores easily without having to have a full unit.
