Purchased to scan the codes on a 94 Cummins N14. And was successful able to read codes, diagnose the issue, and clear codes. The tool was very straightforward and easy to use. The screen was bright and very easy to read.
Attempted to hook it up to a 99 pick up truck and was not able to connect using the generic OBD-II function. It shows it has an OBD function that might work on vehicles before OBD-II.
Overall. It did the job I purchased it for. I do not advise purchasing as a car scanner. Which is misleading from the description

This little thing is well built and very easy to use. Just ignite your car, plug it in your car and follow the menu to read out the code and erase the code after. Then the “Check Engine” light goes off (in my case P0440 and P0442) when I restart my car. This device draws power from your car, so it doesn’t need any battery, what a wonderful design (of the OBD2 bus)!! The only con is the speed of menu operating is a little bit slow, but totally usable (unless you are a professional and need to use it 100 times/day). Overall, it worth every penny of my money. 5 Stars for sure!! If you go to mechanics, it will cost $80 to just readout the code, while you can DIY with this little thing:)

For years I’ve always worried when the lights indicators came on in my vehicles. Finally, a bit of piece of mind before running to the mechanic. Used this again yesterday. When I originally got it we had two new vehicles to us (bought used). Lights came on in both of them within 3 months of purchase of this device. Codes are easy to look up to find out what is wrong and plan repairs accordingly. Works within a minute of plugging it in and turning on the car. Just need internet to look up the code and your on your way. Also had pre-issue diagnostic so you can stay on top of future issues that are about to happen on your vehicle. Worth every penny just in piece of mind.

Reader work like a champ, was able to read repair and clear check engine light. This reader is a little different than regular obd readers, in that it breaks the computer down by categories. My particular code was in the engine category.

This did not read my SCR code on my 2020 Freightliner Cascadia.
I unhooked my speed sensor to force a code. It was able to read that code. After I reconnected the sensor and tried to clear the code, the scanner gave an error and would not clear it. It would not clear codes from the engine history, either.
It will provide live data, though much of it shows NA, but that is all.
If you have a newer truck, and want something functional, do not buy this brand. The newest updated software on their website was from 2022. Free updates are not useful if they do not update.
