In my line of work, having a high-quality webcam for video calls and remote meetings is an absolute must. After testing out countless options, the Anker PowerConf C200 is one that truly impresses.
Right out of the gate, the picture quality on this thing is phenomenal. The 2K super high-res sensor captures an incredibly sharp, highly-detailed image that looks worlds better than bargain bin 720p webcams. My face, workspace, whiteboards, you name it – everything comes through clearly without any graininess or artifacts even in less-than-ideal lighting.
But specs alone don’t tell the full story. What really sets the C200 apart is Anker’s software tuning and image processing under the hood. The autofocus is lightning fast and razor sharp, instantly locking onto faces for professional-looking videoconferencing. The HDR mode is also clutch, preventing bright windows or lamps from blowing out backgrounds.
Another standout is the wide 90-degree field of view. No more awkwardly hunching to stay in frame – it captures myself and my entire desktop setup with room to spare. The adjustable angle is also much appreciated for quickly dialing in the perfect shot.
While there are more affordable webcams out there, none match the C200’s blend of premium hardware and intelligent software. For remote professionals like myself who need to look our best, the Anker is well worth the investment. It embodies the philosophical principle of “quality over quantity” when it comes to video collaboration tools.
All in all, I’m a big fan of this webcam and highly recommend it, especially to anyone looking to upgrade their video conferencing game. The outstanding image/audio, wide FOV, and thoughtful design separate it from the webcam pack.

Het is een top camera, heeft af en toe in weinig licht toestanden nog hier en daar moeten met het scherp stellen! verder is het een fijne en compacte camera die niet het meest flexibel is maar doet wat hij moet doen. Verder is de kwaliteit 2K echt schitterend en merk je in een meeting dat jij er echt boven uit springt met deze kwaliteiten.

Kameran ger en skarp bild och är ett steg upp från kameror i laptops. Bilden är aningens kall och högdagrar överrepresenteras något. Det finns justeringsmöjligheter för färgtemperatur i leverantörens mjukvara men bilden upplevs ändå som lite för kall. Med det sagt får den ändå 5/5 för kvalitet i relation till pris.

I’m not an expert on web cams, and haven’t really found one yet that I love. My first one works OK, but not well in low light, so I bought this Anker Brand C200 2K one that looks pretty cool. My friends suggested a gamer web cam, but I passed on that notion, cause I’m not really that into webcams. I use them for online meetings with customers, and that’s it.
Setup on my new Mac Mini M2 Pro was pretty easy, I think I just plugged it in and it worked. Tried in with the Apple Photo Booth App and it looked pretty good; much better than the one at the office, and the more light the better it worked. Then I switched camera sources and used my iPhone 12, and that shocked me, in how clear the picture was (Looked like 4K, but I don’t have 4K glass). So now I’m thinking or playing with the notion of getting the 4K version of this camera. I don’t think it was that much more than what I paid for this camera. This C200 starts to fail in auto focus, and the image gets a little blurry or artifacts when the light gets lower, and comes back to life when you pump up the light sources again.
For the price, if you can find a good price ($50 USD), the camera or Anker C200 is a bargain and will get the job done, presenting your image with clarity and speed. The red shutter is pretty cool, turns off the camera and blocks the lens, so you don’t see a red video image. It feels like it’s built tough and durable, perhaps take a few drops on concrete. The build quality is really nice, it’s not cheap feeling, and it fits the top of my monitor (Dell U2722D) and doesn’t move on me, or fall off.
Not sure if I’m keeping it yet. I can get another C200 and have 2 webcams, one for each computer at home (Mac/Windows), or try the 4K version that has “AI”, and see what that looks like, with the drawback of the “AI” software perhaps making things more complicated than I want, which is why I didn’t buy the gamer webcam. I’m probably leaning towards buying one more C200 for my PC and call it finished. The image quality is good enough for me not to be ashamed of in meetings, and is still a huge step up from other webcams. I have nothing bad to say about the Anker C200 webcam.

Things I love about the camera:
Picture quality. The fact that you can select focal length and resolution makes it very versatile.
Privacy cover. They’re often awkward, flimsy, or non-existent. This one is integrated and works smoothly.
Software. It’s plug-and-play right out of the box, but the downloadable free software gives you a load of good customization options as well.
Price. This ranks with cameras that cost twice as much.
Things I hate about this camera:
The 2K setting is so good it puts all my wrinkles, pimples, and baggy eyes in crisp focus. Not really a complaint, I know. 🙂
