I ordered the Large at first after reading other reviews. I’m 5’8 155lbs, athletic with big boobs. The large was really large everywhere, I don’t mind the oversized look but it was quite large in the shoulders and the body so I returned it for the medium. The medium fits perfectly with plenty of room for layers. What I like the best about it is that it is super warm and it is long enough to cover my bum in the back. It has a longer back than front.
There are tons of pockets including ones on the sleeve for a ski pass. The hood is big enough to fit over my ski helmet which keeps you super warm. My only complaint is that the neck is a little narrow. I can’t get the hood over my helmet and zip the coat up all the way with a gator on underneath. Without a helmet I can have the hood up and zip the coat closed but it still isn’t wide enough at the neck to come over my chin/mouth. When recently skiing in the Rockies it was around 0 degrees F and I was so warm I had to remove a base layer, a first for me.
It’s pretty basic in its looks, the longer back is the only thing “stylish” about it, but when it comes to being warm in the outdoors I value function over form. Great value for $99.

This jacket is amazing. It has lots of pockets and tight sleeve thingy at ends of arms to keep wrists from getting snow in. Good buy. As for sizing, I am 5’3″ and weigh 190lbs (not chesty) and it fits perfect. I can wear a long john shirt under it and its not to big or I can wear a sweatshirt and it still feels good. I ordered XL.

This has to be a second or a reject ,an irregular to be exact. I was so excited to get this was waiting patiently for days. UPS just dropped it off I opened it up and I can’t even get my arm in one of the sleeves it’s sewed up. I’m so upset about this $75 for this this is so not acceptable. I might have liked it. The color is not bad but the quality is so subpar it’s ridiculous. Folded up in a box I believe it was a return from someone else the way it was in the box. Trying to sell a second a second time this is not acceptable.
Update…. I returned this jacket via UPS the very next day after I received it. That was one month ago and I’m still waiting on a refund…..

I’ve had this jacket for a season and loved it, but once I washed it the seams started to tear apart. The fabric is of poor quality or the stitches weren’t properly done, but it’s now full of holes.

La chamarra esta muy bonita, escogí el color purpura, se ve muy bien sin ser color chillante.. la talla es correcta ya que es amplia para llevar algun suéter o algo similar abajo… desafortunadamente durante mi viaje cuando me quise quitar la chamarra el cierre se quedó atorado justo en la parte del cuello lo que dificultó demasiado podérmela quitar.. tuve que pedir ayuda a un par de personas para que ayudaran a retírarla por arriba con gran dificultad … muy mala experiencia

So, so happy I took a chance and bought on “other options” seller (or something like that). Paid less and it still has the tags on it. Because of many reviews of bad quality control, I checked the coat thoroughly. The stitching is very good. The zippers and snaps are good quality. This ski jacket is a good replacement for my long time winter coat. This year has been significantly colder, rainier, and snowing at lower elevations. A friend told me that ski jackets, while insulated, were lightweight and not bulky. It is a little heavy but when I put it on and zipped it up, I could raise my arms over my head without any restrictions/stiffness. I am confident this coat will keep out the wind because of the many zippers and snaps, and also the inner sleeve that covers my wrist and has a thumb hole.

Very underrated brand probably due to the lack garment description for each particular item. Please Arctix if you read those reviews, consider investing into more detailed descripton either here on Amazon or on your brand’s website! What consumers need to know for jackets : pockets ( how many and how deep), hood detachable or not, length of the sleeve, length of the jacket itself.
Hardware is decent (I would say Columbia’s way better for the reference), stitching would benefit from some improvement, but nothing major for the price!
In regards to this particular womens Gondola Insulated Jacket, I have to say: it’s true to the size (although, I’ m the one who tends to go one size up in outerwear for ease of layering bulkier pieces); however, I have tried their jacket in my size M and I can layer some lighter pieces with no issues.
Hood is detachable and adjustable as mentioned in the description. Pockets on this particular model are rather shallow. So, we have two hand warmer style pockets with zipper ( shallow – you cannot fit your bulky mittens in there, just for bare hands). The coolest part, that left sleeve has one small zippered pockets for small items such as car keys, cards ant ets. The interior pockets’ closure is not zipper , it’s just small piece of velcro – good to keep your phone, but I doubt they’re very secure . There are two of the size 6″(W)x7.5″(H) on each side and one smaller on top on left-hand inside pocket 3.5″(W)x5.5″(H). 6 pockets in total.
For size L, the length of the jacket at the back (from the neck) 34″, front (from the neck too) 27″, sleeve – 26″, chest 44″. Hope this will be helpfull to all other struggling souls who are trying to figure out sizing and fit for this brand.

I wore this jacket skiing when the temperate was around 10 Fahrenheit, it kept me warm (I wore two under armor type longs sleeves underneath). The hand pockets are fleece lined. The interior pockets are Velcro, not zipper which is a negative but not a major issue. Sizing- I’m 5’6” and 140, generally slim in the upper body, I bought a Medium, the shoulders were a bit snug, particularly with layers underneath, so if you have a big chest or wide shoulders, you should size up. But I was still able to move perfectly well to ski, just a warning if you know you have a bigger upper body.
