I love the aesthetic and functionality of this console – it is very solid (over 200 lbs), built conscientiously for AVR equipment, and appears well built, though arrived with a small defect in the wood (pictured). The solution offered to me was replace the whole unit or get $150 partial refund, which seemed like a low ball considering the cost of this piece as well as the pain involved with receiving a new shipment, removing equipment from the current console, and returning the defective one. But given those options, I feel getting a replacement is the only choice in case the crack in the wood runs deeper. Hoping the new one arrives without any defects – will post an update.
