While the desk looks great, the way this company puts all of the hardware components thrown into a bag together, leaves much to be desired. You would think, after paying so much, that they could separate the different types of screws and pieces…even label them (I know, a shocking concept). Not everybody is an expert on what a this inch screw is to the next. Some of the holes were off as well, and had to make new ones, which again, is a quality control issue and for the price, well you get the idea. On top of all of this, the desk hutch doesn’t have the option to be attached to the desk. Meaning, it just sits on top, wobbly, and needs anchored to the wall…and there are stickers to add to the desk …grip it? This is unfortunate and kind of scary, because even anchored it can still wobble and slide to either side slightly.
On the plus side, it is a nice looking desk. The file cabinet and bookshelf is super nice. I just worry about the craftsmenship that went into this desk, again, because of the price. If it weren’t built and would be such a pain to return, I probably would.

It’s not a bad desk, but not a lot of storage room for files – the top drawer in the side table actually broke as I put files in it – it’s cheaply made. Also, the book case is not the same color as the desk.

While I had high hopes, I knew that the price I was paying meant I was not getting heavy duty furniture. You get two sets of instructions, depending on the layout you want from the desk. Unfortunately, parts were missing and I could not fully assemble, and I had to wait for new parts to be delivered. A few of the instructions were not clear regarding assembly, so it did take some figuring out of some things. Overall, I like the set, and for the price, it was quite fair.

SO beautiful. I finally have all the space I need! I’ve never been intimidated by pre-fab furniture before, but when all those boxes came on a pallet (each weighing over 100 lbs I’m sure), I WAS. Luckily, my neighbor saw me struggling and offered to help… he immediately regretted it. We lugged all the boxes up the stairs one by one and got them all lined up, and I sat there just staring at them for a good hour or two.
I was frightened! So many boxes! So many parts! Where are the instructions?? (They’re tucked away inside… just open all the boxes. Once I got started, though, there wasn’t any reason to be scared. The instructions (unlike what some folks have said in their reviews) were PLENTY easy to follow. They’re written in very standard furniture-assemblese. You actually have to look at the whole picture, including the labels. Super easy.
The one really confusing part for me was the locking bits… they don’t fit tightly when you pop them in the holes, but once they’re inserted into the locking screw and tightened, they must expand or something. Unbreakable bond. So don’t be worried when you pop those suckers in and they’re all loosey-goosey, that’s normal. It’ll only be confusing for five minutes. The rest was a total breeze.
FINAL RESULTS: It may have taken a bunch of men a whole weekend to assemble, but it only takes a woman around 4 hours. The whole set. So go grab your wife and promise to rub her feet for an hour if she’ll help. “My husband is a woodworker…” blah blah.
Don’t let the “this is soooo hard to assemble” garbage dissuade you from purchasing this beautiful set. It’s really not that hard if it took one 120lb woman 4 hours to assemble all by her lonesome. #girlpower

Definitely could’ve used a second person to set up, but it tells you in the manual. That said, it has no signs of already taking a good beating before complete assembly. Prolonged wear of rage gaming is yet to be seen. Everything fits nicely and solidly. I was worried about the cabinet just being held on with some sticky pads but it feels pretty firmly attatched. Would have given 4* for a missing board on the bookshelf but the CS call was less then 3min for model, part, address, heres your confirmation #, have a good day.

Came damaged with several chips. The way they are boxed is just asking for damage. We also received a box that had drawer fronts and was addressed to someone else(they were damaged beyond repair). It’s a good unit but packaging needs improvement

I love my new desk but It takes a lot of work putting it together. I had a few damaged and missing parts. I contacted the company and they where a pleasure to work with. They sent me everything I needed to get it done. You must be handy to put this together or know some one who is. It takes two people to do the job. I highly recommend this company if your looking for a nice desk.

This desk is built very strong. It arrived earlier than scheduled. There were phonecalls to let us know when it was going to be delivered. The driver let us know when he was here. This is a bonus because it shows they take good care of their products and customizers! The instructions were hidden inside some of the boxes, so don’t worry if you pick your first box without them. I just love this desk for my home office!
