BOSGAME P3 Mini Gaming PC, AMD Ryzen 9 6900HX

This is a very nice mini PC if used for the right purpose. Let’s just start off by saying if you are gamer, this isn’t going to be the best system for playing games. If you are looking for a mini computer to use in an office to browse the web and do office type tasks, this will work well. I am using for a media PC connected to my 4K TV and it works well for that also. Also not going to be a good choice for graphics design or heavy video editing.

Physically, it has a very small foot print. It has modern connection solutions like twin 2.5gbps LAN connections, Both 2.0 and 3.0 USB connections, HDMI, DP and Type C. Works well with wireless keyboard and mouse.

I ran a passmark performance test as I do on all my new computers to get an idea of how it performs. Keeping in mind this is a mini PC for $359 at the time, it was very respectable. The image shows the scores that I received and overall it ranked in the 40th percentile of all computers reporting in the world. Keep in mind that this includes $5K water cooled gaming machines. The memory test was about mid way but it’s running DDR4. Having an m.2 SSD disk, it scored fair.

The components seem to be rather generic and the motherboard was reported as a BosGame so they didn’t appear to Name Brand parts for assembly that you might find in name brand name mini pcs. The only downside to this not knowing how they will hold up over time through high heat and if BIOS patches will be released. Also, the Mother Board is key to all the components being able to run at full potential.

I love that it came with Windows 11 Pro and best of all there is no bloatware preinstalled which I like. You don’t get any free antivirus software for a year or anything like that. You run the setup and there is nothing there but windows, it’s clean and ready to go.

This pc goes very fast, and nore than enough for everyone in day to day use. ..

I purchased this unit using a $100 off coupon which made it a no-brainer kind of decision. The unit gives you enough specs to power through anything using maximum settings except the newest of new games. For any office or home use it gets it done with ease. My power brick was DOA but an email to Bosgame had a reply within 3 hours authorizing me to buy a new brick on Amazon and crediting me the amount. I loved this value so much I bought another unit for my son. Thanks Bosgame!

I ordered this mid-tier Mini PC as a backup for my main Windows 11 Mini PC. This is my third Mini PC and the first one that gave me a small problem. It was well packaged, came with a power supply, an HDMI cable, some mounting hardware that can be used on a monitor or VESA attachment, and an Instruction Manual. Once I set it up, connected a keyboard and monitor and turned it on it immediately exhibited a rhythmic, rotating clicking, sounding like a fan problem. After opening the case and disassembly, it was the fan. The fan is mounted on a plastic holding panel the sits above the Ram and the circuit board. The plastic holding panel is secured on only three corners which allowed the panel to slightly warp or sway so that fan blades were hitting on the edge of the RAM module. Possible better options would have been to make the holding panel out of more stable plastic or thin metal, or secure the panel on all four corners, or design a spacer into the panel to prevent movement. My solution was to cut a small piece of plastic (it was a piece of a pen cap) that I wedged in the case preventing the fan from hitting the RAM module. It may be hard to see, but I have tried to show the problem along with my solution in the attached images. In the fan image, the green edge under some of the blades is the RAM module. In the second image, at the corner of the case is the small blue spacer I made to prevent the fan from hitting the RAM module. I think there were some design shortcuts taken with the fan mounting panel, but my problem may be an infrequent one. Once the fix was in, the PC worked fine and benchmarked at a level commensurate with the PC’s configuration. In general, I like the PC. Based on my experience with this and other Mini PC’s, if it’s available with a coupon, and no fan problem, I am comfortable with rating it 4-stars.

If you are looking for a mini PC that is affordable and works great then this is a great option. It doesn’t take hardly any room up on your desk, and it supports multiple monitor set ups. The speed of this PC is exceptional for its compact size as well. 10/10

With the form factor being so small, I wasn’t expecting much from this computer. I had initially bought it to run an EEPROM programmer but the more software I load onto it, the more impressed I am. It has taken everything I have thrown at it and it just works decently quickly. Paired with a smaller keyboard and trackpad combo, it’s a seriously capable little machine that will probably do 95% of the tasks you ask it to. I haven’t tried gaming on it yet, but I think it will be able to hold its own somewhat with a few older game in my Steam library.
