You can change the settings to make your coffee stronger (bold) or medium. I absolutely love this coffee maker I bought it used but it works like a charm and the style is rocking my kitchen. I was deciding on this one or the ninja and I’m so glad I choose this one.

Terrific little machine. No regrets. Makes great coffee …and it’s hot which is how we like it. Love the temp control and clean feature. Not as quiet as some reviews would suggest. But love it overall.

I was a little hesitant when I was looking into it, reading and watching reviews. The design was great and features described also were very good. But everything was just a claim. When it arrived and we started using it we fell in love with it. It produced very tasty results! I definitely recommend it!

Worked great for 2.5 years then the Error E01 showed up this morning.
Very pleased with the quality of coffee it made for us and the temperature, but 2.5 years is unacceptable in my opinion. These last 4 months I’ve been leaving it on auto off at 4 hours in high temp. Not sure if that caused the heating plate to smell funny like burnt wires. It made a strange noise last time I ran it that caught my attention because the machine was on idle holding temp after having brewed the pot 2 hours prior.

Coffee not completely brewing after three months; even though coffee maker is under warranty, Braun has made it nearly impossible to either return for an exchange, and/or refund. After submitting proof of purchase, pics of both serial and model numbers, and recurring problems as per requested by customer representative – this was their response:
Dear Art,
We hope this email finds you well. Thank you for reaching out to us regarding the concerns you’ve experienced with your portable air conditioning system.
We want to assure you that your safety and the proper functioning of our products are of utmost importance to us. Firstly, it’s important to note that our portable air conditioning units are equipped with an overheat protection device. In the event of overheating, the unit is designed to display an error message, either E01 or E02, as an indication that the safety feature has been activated.
Additionally, it is normal for some steam to be emitted from the unit during operation. This is usually a result of the cooling process and does not necessarily indicate a malfunction. However, if you observe the E01 or E02 error message, please take the necessary precautions and refer to the user manual for guidance on resolving the issue.
If you have any further questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our customer support team. We are here to assist you and ensure your satisfaction with our product.
Thank you for choosing our portable air conditioning system. We appreciate your trust in our brand.
Kind regards,
Hector

Fácil de usar, de limpiar y se prepara un excelente café…

The version I had has a rotary control for some of the brew functions, surrounded by a few touch sensitive buttons.
Had a few features I was looking for.
1) Ability to turn off the hotplate, or lower the temperature
2) Water filter
3) Spray head
4) Reasonable price
Ii met all of the above, and made a decent cup of coffee, but I found the programming of some the more advance features frustrating, for example, turning off the hotplate, lower it wasn’t and issue, but disabling seemed awkward.
Other issues – it’s noisy, it hubbles, bubbles and gurgles away, you know it’s working! It also seems to produce an unusual amount of steam, so much so water moisture accumulates on the front panel and lid.
My main concern is that the hotplate has rusted badly after 10 months, yes I had a few spills, but they were cleaned up. At first I thought it was brown coffee on the hotplate but it was rust, so much so that the carafe doesn’t sit flush.
In the end a gave it away, and purchased a basic B&D model, with no hotplate at all, but has a thermally insulated carafe, and suits me much better, as a never use the timer (don’t want my coffee sat out over night absorbing moisture) and don’t need a hotplate to burn my coffee.

Came well packaged. Really enjoying programmable features. And the coffee’s been good. Seems like I can use less coffee for same level of richness

The features are outstanding including water hardness selection for the filter reminder, variable time heating plate time off, brew-strength selection, auto on, and small batch selection. Plus, the coffee is excellent every time. Some have voiced a complaint about there being no exterior water fill indicator. That’s not a problem for me as the coffee pot has the markings on it – simply fill the carafe and pour into the reservoir. There is also an inside step level marking in the reservoir should you wish to use that. So, the lack of an exterior water level indicator is not important to me.
Now, why better than Cuisinart?
I had long been a Cuisinart fan. ALL of my appliances were Cuisinart [coffee maker, burr grinder, toaster, immersion blender, griddler, electric knife.] My DCC 1200 coffee maker lasted a long time – over 15 years. I got it when they first came out. It finally stopped so I got the highly-rated DCC 3200 14-cup model. It did perform as Consumer Reports stated – excellent brew performance. However, soon after I got it the black heating plate finish started to wear off. The DCC 1200 never had that problem, however, within a few months the DCC 3200 paint finish wore off. I found that other users were also complaining about this. The coffee maker finally stopped working after only 2 1/2 years. Two years ago I purchased a new Cuisinart food processor. It was dead on arrival. Cuisinart is no longer a well-manufactured product.

This is without doubt the very best drip style coffee maker I have ever owned. After a number of relatively inexpensive big box store coffee makers over the years, notably models from Mr. Coffee and Black and Decker, functional but not exceptional, I decided to “splurge” on this higher priced Braun unit.
The first one arrived with a loose, wobbly, ill fitting lid which Amazon very kindly replaced for me despite it being slightly beyond the return period. The second machine is perfect. It looks elegant and very upscale on my kitchen counter. Almost Barrista!!
The materials and the design simply exude quality. It is a breeze to operate once it has been set up which only takes a few moments. I think, but I’m not sure, that my morning coffee actually tasted better once I began to use this machine.
I know it has more features than I will likely ever use to allow me to adjust the brew strength. However, as of yet, I have not experimented with any of these. I can tell you that the brew cycle takes less time than any of my other coffee makers. It is also far quieter during the brewing stage and the first of my three mugs of morning coffee is as hot as I would wish it to be with no need to revert to the microwave to add a bit of additional heat as was the case with my last Mr. Coffee coffee maker.
While a bit pricey to be sure, it is without doubt, worth every penny. This machine strikes me as incorporating the very best of European design and manufacture. It should last for years to come!
