This set is sturdy but surprisingly light weight, and absolutely beautiful. Curing the frying pans made cleaning much easier. Initially I found the edges a bit sharp, but I have become accustomed to them. Exquisite looking set that cooks very well.

I’m tired of being grossed out by non stick skillets as they age. Nothing ever browns , it just doesn’t feel like cooking. I also needed inspiration to cook more at home and stop my restaurant delivery orders that I can’t afford. I saw this set on sale and I started researching stainless steel cookware. My research kept leading me back to this set and it’s current very fair sale price. So I stopped obsessing and bought the cookware.
Gorgeous out of the box. Before I used I watched some iTunes videos in order to learn cooking with Stainless steel. Lots of good videos that inspired me to cook again. I’m glad I watched because I didn’t want to ruin the cookware on my first day. I used my new frying pan to sear Salmon Filets with their skin. Oh, to see food brown again! I forgot what it’s like to cook. The salmon was browned perfectly on outside and as tender as poached salmon on the inside.
It was not as easy to clean as non stick but had I not watched the videos it would have been a disaster. I did get my pan back to its shiny new state however. It’s a learning curve, it’s not intuitive yet but I’m willing to learn a lot of tips to try while watching more videos about how to cook and clean with stainless steel. (I’m not one to watch cooking shows, I just google recipes before I’m about to cook, but i was inspired watching the cooking part of the instructional videos. Most were to the point and short). For me, it’s worth the challenge but I can see how it wouldn’t be for others. I’m just thrilled I made the purchase.

My mother bought this from my wish list as a house warming gift and it is great! The heat distributes evenly, it is so easy to clean(Bar Keepers Friend for the first wash and anything that does stick)
I wouldn’t say it’s light weight, more medium weight if that makes sense

Me gustaron mucho, al principio cuesta trabajo acostumbrarse especialmente cuando has usado el teflón, pero una vez curados los sartenes ha funcionado muy bien.

I love these pans! I had tried the ceramic coated pans previously but was unimpressed with their durability and loss of non-stick. So I gave up on all coated pans and shot my shot with stainless and I’ll never go back! They continue to be non-stick, they’re easy to clean, and they stay nice and shiny! Every time I use them I rejoice.

El producto es bueno, no olvide darle el cuidado que es necesario y se mantendrá en buen estado por mucho tiempo, ya llevo más de un año con el y aún luce muy bien. No deje que se le acumule el cochambre

I needed a new set for my new induction stove and liked the look of these. I’ve owned Calphalon in the past and had been fairly happy with them so thought I’d go for it. The pieces are good sizes, but I did add a 3-1/2 quart lidded pot and then bought another brand’s 12″ lidded two-handle pan; am still looking at 10-12 qt stock pots to round things out.
Two things I have noticed: first, it is touted that the lid handles do not get hot. This is absolutely not true, and I’m glad that I was hesitant the first time to just grab the lid with my bare hand because I would have been burned. This is the most disappointing issue. Second, I used the small fry pan on top of the stove to sear a piece of fish and then put it into the over to finish it off. After this, I have not been able to get the pan to come clean and it’s stained. If the manufacturer sees this and has some suggestions I’d appreciate hearing about it. If not, I’m going to reach out to them and see about a replacement because I don’t think this should have happened.
Other than this, I have been pretty happy with my purchase. The pieces go through the dishwasher nicely and without incident, and I love that the handles have hanging holes (I hang all of my pots and pans on a pegboard in the hallway).

I will say this they are not as heavy as cast iron but, not as light as cheap pans. Please please read the reviews on how to use them. You must heat of the pan first, splash a little water and see if the water floats a bubble across the pan, if so it is ready for anything. Have your food out before cooking, it doesn’t like frozen food nor super cold food. I was able to make many many recipes and my only complaint is that it doesn’t like to deep fry; I have tried many tricks but, my food still sticks to the bottom. But, as for any other cooking methods it did a great job, and the extra bonus they are very easy to clean.
Please remember these are heat induction so, if you are used to cooking at one temperature you will need to turn it down a notch, and the food will cook at the same time.
The handles do not get hot on the stove top, they will in the oven but not scorching hot. If you have well or hard water I would highly recommend to clean them with Bar Keepers Friend before use, it takes off all the spots and keeps them clean for awhile. You can use them on gas or electric stovetops and ovens.
My favorite pan that I use the most is the 3 quart sauté pan, cook the food, place the lid on top, and it keeps the food hot for awhile.
Just remember these are not Teflon pans, which have chemicals we don’t need in our body’s. Always heat up your pan before use, lower the temperature a little for excellent cooking, set your food out before cooking, and they are easy to clean. Have fun trying many recipes with these excellent pans, I love my set, it is good quality, and do an excellent job.

Received the package on time, and was at first happy to see everything has arrived safely, but after matching the lids to the pots and pan I discovered that the lids don’t sit tight on the pans, there is a few millimeters gap between them. I have other Calphalone utensils previously purchased from amazon.com a few years ago and there the lids sit tight. For the price we had paid this is nonsense.
Update: black stains after first use, very low-quality steel. Disgrace.

For the price, this set is absolutely perfect. Does everything i need it to do. Excellent heat distribution. Understand that in oder for these pans to be nonstick they must be preheated and oiled. Some things my still stuck. Once you wash them they will not be as shiny as you bought them, and may even begin to brown. To combat this, clean the pan with steel wool and a product called bar keepers friend. After using bar keepers friend the pans will be as shiny as the day you bought them
