Very thin and lightweight material. Can be placed in any pocket if it’s hot. For me it’s good for 5-10 celsius. I am 174cm, 83kg, 2xl fits good.

This jacket is great for those chilly mornings that will warm up later. It works well as a wind breaker and packs well into a tight and small bundle. I purchased the XL size. Castelli jackets tends to fit tight in the shoulders for me and I go up a size from their jerseys which I buy in Large.

This was the second go-round ordering this jacket… I ordered the first one a year ago but it didn’t arrive. I thought I would give it another shot and am glad I did.
This is a VERY light & fully windproof fabric. I went with the bright flouro-green to be seen by vehicles. Folds up to the size of half a tennis ball to easily pop in the back pocket of my jersey when it warms up. It has been super for early morning rides now that fall has arrived
Like all Castelli cycling products it fits a little on the small side but will be totally dependent on what you are using it for. I’m 5’7″, 150lbs with a dad-bod/semi-athletic build & broad shoulders. I would typically be a medium in most all cycle wear but I sized up to a large to ensure the windproof material on the front, back and arms would fit without feeling constrained.
Wearing the jacket over a standard cycle kit, the fit is really comfortable and fully mobile… possibly even seeming a little on the loose side given that on fast downhills given that the material flaps around a bit. Wearing a 200 weight thermal top underneath the fit is still pretty good and the stretch side panels are really beneficial to this end giving a bit more give when pulling the arms in.
If I was looking for a jacket to compete in I would probably size it down to my true size to tighten the fit up and avoid the loose fabric at speed but for recreational use and a more comfortable fit going up at least one size is recommended… full-on dad-bods might want to go two sizes up if you don’t want to feel like a sausage.

This will be an odd review. I bought this to cycle in high 30s to mid 45 degrees.
After 3 rides I realized what part of the layer you use this is important.
Originally i had it as the top layer…and i would get cold…
Next I used it just under my cycling jacket…and was better, but still cold.
3rd I used it overtop my 2 fleece lined baselayer shirts….but under my all fleece pullover and jacket…and I stayed very warm….while moving..it did keep the heat in more…but also kept the baselayers soaked. Great thing also is the ability to take it off and stuff in back jersey pouch.

I bought a mens and the zipper was on the left side, for a womens jacket. The sizing was wrong. There is nothing “stretch” about the material. It’s so thin that you can fold it up to the size of a wallet. Insane price for something of so bad quality.

Had to go up two sizes from my normal, non-castelli sizing. These are Euro sizes, so this L is American M. I’m an American M, so I ordered this in L, but it was too small. For reference, I’m 5’10” 160lb. Return was very easy, and the XL that I eventually got is perfect. Easily goes over a long sleeve jersey now. Note this is more of a “race cut” than a “club cut” so it’s pretty narrow through the abdomen. It’s very thin and packs down easily into a jersey pocket. Once you get the sizing right, it’s the perfect shell for those windy or chance-of-sprinkles rides.

Agréablement surpris par la taille, j’ai pris un XXL en étant quasi sûr que ça taillait petit notamment au niveau des manches car j’ai des bras longs.
Une fois reçu et essayé tout le contraire, donc un XXL peut convenir à une personne d’1m90 pour 90kg avec une silhouette plutôt mince.
Il est bien coupe vent et pas étanche, ce qui était bien précisé dans la description.

Used this for a week of riding in CO. Packs nicely in back pocket. Makes early morning starts comfortable without so many layers. Also welcome wind protection on descents—just a little rippling noise at speed. Did not test in rain. Like all Castelli there is a need to size up. Orange color is sharp and visible.
