The music is varied and good for beginner and intermediate cellists. However, my copy did not come with the solo cello part, making the purchase almost useless.

I have been using this book for around six monthes now, and I believe that it is the best cello solo book out on the market. There are so many classics in this book, such as Dvorak, C. Saens, Chopin, Brahms, Tschikowski, and many other great composers to choose from. The pieces in this book range from a few easy pieces, to quite a few intermediate pieces, and an equal amount of advanced pieces. It is a great book for sight reading. It has greatly improved my playing, and I would highly recommend this book to any cellist who wants to improve, or just wants to learn some beautiful songs.

It was surprised not to have the solo cello part included. I purchased three copies of this book in the past, always came with the cello part and the piano accompaniment part. This order came with the piano part only. This is the first time in my 50+ year career that this happened. Strange.
