This is a very sturdy filiment spool holder, ideal for multi kilogram spools

Large or small, this holder will easy spin your spool. In fact there is so little resistance that sometimes it self feeds where the filament uncoils over the sides. As the feed is taken up, the filament can become wound up on the axel where the spool is pull off the holder. I connected a buggy cord across the uprights to add drag to it the spool. Now it’s OK. Poor engineering on the manufacturing side.

UPDATE: I’ve changed my mind… Do **NOT** Buy this item unless you’re wanting to have print failure after failure.
Today alone, I’ve had 2 prints (about 7 hours of printing on my Bambu – would be about 14 on an Ender) fail with about 10% of the print left.
Both Times, The spool had unwound itself and jammed.
I got this for a 3KG (6.6lb) spool of filiment. It spins smoothly (too smoothly). Twice in 12 hours I had the spool get spinning fast enough for it to flip itself over (causing 2 prints to fail).
If this had something to keep it from spinning too freely, It would be much better. It might work better with a smaller spool but for me, I don’t need it for that.
Instead, I’m now going to have to respool this to 1KG spools so I can use it without the issues the 3KG is having.

Holds my 5kg spool with ease. The frame is sturdy metal, and the design makes it easy to change spools. I was surprised by how easily the spool turned as opposed to some other models I’ve tried. Top quality and really affordable. A must have for larger spools

I was worried it wouldn’t hold or rotate the 5kg spool of gizmodorks pla, but it definitely is sturdy and the bearings work great. Building it is straight forward and can be broken down just as easily.

Easy to put together! I had bought two and had both put together in under 5 min. The roller is smooth and easily removable to replace spools. If I can expand my lab, I will be buying more of these for sure!
