The Cuisinart 3 Quart pot is not cheap and it does NOT feel cheap. It feels heavy and very sturdy. It sits FLAT on my electric burner. It heats up everything very evenly. It also heats up very quickly. These are the most attractive pots,( I also bought the 1.5 quart pot) I have ever had. I will be hanging them up on a steel peg board with the Cuisinart 10″ and 12″ Green Gourmet skillets. PLEASE make sure you check out the pots measurement bc when I bought them they were wrong. The measurement I have shown here are for the 3 quart. Enjoy.

I’ve been waiting a while to review this set – I wanted to really use the pans first. Plus this is my first time using stainless steel cookware, so I had a learning curve to master.

While, I definitely haven’t mastered everything, I’ve made a lot of progress. Coming from non-stick everything, I had to learn how to cook without sticking everything, and mostly I have. I have learned the joys of getting a good sear on meat and deglazing to make a delicious pan sauce, and how nice it is to have skillets and a Dutch oven that can be used in the oven. However, I am glad that the small skillet included in the set is non-stick, since I still need a non-stick skillet for eggs.

The pans have some heft, but are not too heavy to comfortably handle. They feel very sturdy with their riveted handles. Due to the heavy, cladded bottom, these pans heat very evenly, and once they are hot, they hold a lot of heat – so the pan temperature doesn’t drop as much when you add cold food to your hot pan. They have nice flat bottoms so they are great for smooth top stoves. I love the glass lids, so you can see what’s going on inside without opening the lids.

The handles on the pots and pans stay cool for quite a while when cooking on the stovetop. Eventually they do get warm – if you cook something a long time, expect the handles to be hot. The handles on the lids heat up more quickly, so unless the lid has been on the pan for just a couple of minutes, you should assume that you’ll need a pot holder to open the lid. Speaking of lids, although there are only five lids, there is a pot lid that will fit each skillet, so you have a lid to fit any pot/pan.

I found the included 2 qt saucepan awkward for cooking/heating small quantities, so I bought the Cuisinart 8919-14 Professional Stainless Saucepan with Cover, 1-Quart later. That size is perfect for those little jobs. For most people, I think that is the only pot you really need to add to this set.

I had wondered whether the 4qt saute pan would be big enough for stir fries and such for my family of 5. The answer is yes, it’s big enough – but just barely. If you cook more than 6 servings you may want to purchase the Cuisinart 89336-30H Professional Stainless Saute with Cover, 6-Quart separately. I really wish that Cuisinart offered the option to purchase the set with either the 4 qt or the 6 qt.

I only hand wash the small non-stick skillet to preserve its non-stick surface. I also use only non-metal utensils with the non-stick skillet.

However, the other pots and pans clean up nicely in the dishwasher. In the event of stubborn food stains, water spots, or rainbow haze, you can renew their new pot shine with Barkeeper’s Friend. Although the manual that came with the pans said that superficial scratches caused by using metal utensils on the pots and pans (other than the non-stick) would not affect their usability, I still avoid metal utensils so I don’t scratch them up and they stay looking nice.

All in all, I am very pleased with this set. I think this is a great value – with the heavy cladded bottoms on this set I am getting most of the benefits of fully-cladded stainless steel at a fraction of the cost of All-Clad. I hope that these pots and pans will last a lifetime (except the non-stick skillet, since non-stick coatings always seem to wear out).

This pot is very well made and sturdy. It also looks nice and distributes heat evenly. The quality and value are well above my expectations for the price. I like it so much I just ordered the 1.5 quart size.

I received the 10″” and other pots n pans as a employment anniversary gift. These are really high quality products. I needed a 12 “” skillet for over size cooking . These are heavy, the coating non stick and if something does stick comes out easily during cleaning, heats up evenly just really easy to use , the performance is awesome even though these are more pricey than others they are well worth it.

Me gustaron bastante. Son fuertes y calientan muy bien. No se les pega nada. Tengo otros de esta misma marca pero diferente modelo y han durado varios años, espero que estos también duren mucho.

Very please with how this cooks/sautés/frys food. Perfect size for household meals of 5 adults. Nothing sticks and clean up is much faster than non-stick cookware. 5 stars!

This pot is a great build, size and quality . It is what you would expect with a heavy solid bottom and firm rivets. My only complaint or improvements would be a better pullout siding and a handle that does not get a thin or pointed. It can feel sharp at the edge

This is such a nice pan, heavy duty, beautifully finished, and it will last a lifetime! Also, it cooks food noticeably quicker than my smaller Cuisinart pan. It would be nice if it came with a lid, but that was easy to find for a reasonable cost.

What i liked large size extra handle and heavy non stick stainless steel
Disliked very big and difficult to wash in a double sink but that is ok
The rivit that holds the handle although has a tight handle their is about 1/6 inch gap between inside rivit and pan so food could get stuck there and could be a contamination problem will try for a while and see how it does

These two frying pans are fantastic. True non-stick, lightweight and seemingly durable

Was a toss-up between this Professional series and the Pro Stainless Steel – and I ended up buying here on Amazon the 11 piece Professional series, two more 8″ stainless (not non-stick) and a 12″ (cook whole package of bacon at once) fry pans. (If the cost weren’t so outrageous, I’d really like one or two of the 1 qt. Professional sauce pans also.) But I also picked up the 1-1/2 qt. sauce pan from the Pro series as it was on sale for $20 at Kohl’s. So now I can compare both:

*Both Pro and Professional are quality. I’d be happy with either. But I’m more happy with Professional – extra quality.
*The Pro are lighter than the Professional; the Professional more solid and sturdy.
*Professional has glass lid for see-through; Pro is solid metal lid. My only wish is that the Professional lid might have a vent so it doesn’t steam/boil over. But both are marketed to have a secure/tight lid (I think the Professional sets better), so I guess they didn’t want a vent as it does serve to heat up more quickly. But – ask me, I know – it can overflow easily if you don’t watch it!
*Both heat very quickly and retain heat – wowie, they sure do!! And I now turn off heat towards the end and let them sit for a bit as they keep the heat for a while. I’ve never had pans that heat so well! Wow! So I use less gas so at some point they will pay for themselves with less energy costs. Great!
*Also, even my large 12″ fry pan, and all of them – I have to say it seems the heat is even. I don’t have hot and cold spots like other pans. Bacon will cook at the edge the same as at the middle. Outstanding!
*The edge of the pans – all of them – is rounded so very east to pour out and doesn’t drip down the side. Totally terrific! The 3 qt. sauce pan even flutes a bit for more of a pour spout (if you’re right-handed) – use that for pasta or boiling anything (see below re straining lid).
*The handles on the Pro are more plain, basically strip of metal, the video says formed for a thumb hold, which they do, sure. (And probably help keep the price down.) But the Professional has more substantial, rounded handles. (Looks nicer.) Both can be hung up from a hole on the handle ends. (I would if I could, but store them in a cabinet with a paper towel between fry pans.)
*My BIGGEST SURPRISE: Both Pro and Professional clean easily! I never imaged stainless steel would be this easy! Even crusted bacon, hamburger, etc. The instructions say to add soap and hot (definitely not cold1) water after cooking and let them soak. I let them cool just enough to run a paper towel over them to get up any grease first, then add the hot water with soap before I eat. And even if I don’t right after using them, a wee soak later and all comes off easily. Even scrambled eggs!
*I typically use the green 3M scrubber sponges and pressing hard on the scrub side will scratch. The blue softer ones won’t scratch. But even the green isn’t bad.
*I wanted to get rid of the non-stick to get rid of chemicals and peeling junk — well, those non-stick pans (I’ve tried a lot of different ones!) all stick worse than these stainless steel! Wish I had tried these way sooner! So I didn’t really want the 8″ non-stick that came with this set, but I admit it is a way better non-stick quality than others I had, and seems to avoid the obnoxious chemicals, so I use it sometimes. It’s also good.
*And both Pro and Professional work for induction stoves, electric, propane, or gas (which I have, yea!).
*The picture on the website doesn’t indicate, but the steamer insert goes inside the 2 qt. sauce pan. It sits high which means the saucepan holds a lot of water, so now you can start your steamer and do other things and not have to worry about the pan running out of water. Does a great job, way better than a basket-like insert sitting on top of 1″ of water.
*The 3 qt. sauce pan with “straining” cover is like you use to cook pasta – the lid comes down maybe 1.5″ and on one side has big holes, and on the other side smaller holes, so you can pour out water and keep in spaghetti or other food.
    * The lids with the raised handles, yes, is good to save your knuckles because these do get really hot, but sometimes I also have to use a potholder on the lid or handle. Most of the time, though, they’re not too hot.

Really pleased with this Professional set. Outstanding how quickly they heat up and that they use less heat. And they’re beautiful. Good job, again, Cuisinart! You did it again! Thank you!

1/8/2021 Update – Lids that don’t come with the set may not fit: The 8″ frypan has an inside diameter of 7-7/8.” The frypans have no lids, but I had a another glass lid (with vent) from Amazon and it measured 7-5.7″ for the inside rim (8-1/4″ for the outer rim), so it works fine with these pans. The 10″ frypan has an inside diameter of 9-5/8,” and the 2 glass lids that come with the 3 qt, saute pan and 8 qt. stock pot fit fine on all 3 pots/pans. I had another glass lid (with vent) from Amazon and it measured 10″ for the inside rim (10-3/4″ for outside rim) so it (and another lid from another set) does not fit on any of these 3 Cuisinart pans because the inside rim of the lid (10″) is greater than the inside rim of the pots/pans (9-5/8″). The 12″ frypan has an inside diameter of 11-7/8″ (so for a lid to fit it will have to have that diameter or smaller), and an outside diameter of 13-3/8″. (I’ve 2 spatter screens, one from Amazon, and they’re both big enough to more than cover the frypan.)

It is perfect as a soup pot. Or sauce. Cleans up great. It’s a strong pot. Well built . I love the measurements inside pot. It’s three cups and marked clearly 1 2 or 3 cups. I would buy a whole set if they had it . Like I said it’s very sturdy and easy to clean. Love this
