I originally ordered & returned the Cuisinart HM-70 because the beater with the wide post was very wobbly. The unit wasn’t defective, but the beater post wasn’t straight, so it was an accessory issue. Amazon couldn’t replace just the beaters so the whole unit was returned. I upgraded a little bit to the Power Advantage 7 Speed HM-BCS with a very convenient storage case. Note: You have to pack it exactly as shown on the manual cover or the cord won’t fit 😀 I haven’t actually used the mixer yet, but I tested the beaters, whisk & dough hooks and they don’t wobble. The whisk seems very light weight. I’ll probably never use it since I can whip cream with the beaters. The beaters and dough hooks look very sturdy. The speed control is NOT a plastic covered digital button but instead is a slide control, which I prefer. The release lever is an easy action pull, so no pain if you have arthritis in your fingers. I plan to make cookies & ice cream Labor Day weekend and if all goes well, I hope to update my review to a full 5 stars.

this handmixer is great. I love how I can store the blending tongues underneath. This is great for keeping the cabinet clutter at a minimum and when packing to move the power is just perfect for mixing my cakes and sauces.

This model is fairly quiet compared to previous Cusinart models. Also, it’s very important that the mixer has the appropriate power to prepare “whipping cream”. Never fails.
