I wanted so much to use this software because I want so bad to find an easy program to create and edit videos on my computer (instead of my phone). After installing this program on my laptop and opening it, I was utterly confused. There are so many different settings and tabs and etc., I didn’t know where to start. I’ve used other video editors before and they were kind of simple….This one, not so much. I just chalk it up to being “professional”, and it’s VERY professional. The AI feature is useful, but my novice self couldn’t use that to it’s full potential, either.
It does come with tutorials (that I’m currently using) to learn the program because before I ordered it, I had no experience with this software. If you’re a novice like me, it will take you a while to learn it. If you’re experienced, you will love all the features this software has.

If you are into video editing this is a great option as it has great quality of features included and make your videos look like a professional finishing. Great sound, great pictures frames. There’s a lot more that you can do with their included feature pack CD of this program. Worth your money

This product comes on two discs and also has a digital download code. I attempted to use the digital download code several times but the install launcher constantly failed. I e-mailed customer service with my product key, and a screen shot of the actual error message I was getting when the installer failed to download the software from their website. The response from customer service was a cut-and-paste version of the download instructions and said to include a copy of the product key and a screen shot if I needed further assistance…even though I had already done that. After four rounds of e-mails where I would receive automated answers from customer service I went to the store and purchased a dvd reader for my laptop. Do not buy this software if you plan to use the digital download option. Other software on their website downloads and installs without issue, but this version does not work and in fact is not even listed in the general website. They would really like you to buy the annual license instead of the single purchase software.
Horrible customer service aside, this is a great little program for VLOG and video editing software. I primarily use this to edit and produce travel videos and I found the workflow and included filters and extras to be very easy to work with. In fact, I find that the production quality of my videos is much better that I ever expected. Previous to using this software I would just edit things for length and maybe a couple of nice transitions. Now I’m doing all kinds of effects and titles that I never would have spent the time manually doing in my old software. I can produce and edit a video nearly twice as fast as my old workflow now and I’m doing it at a much higher quality.
This is a great tool for the amateur producer that wants access to stock effects and music for an affordable price. The customer service does not exist though, so take that in to consideration when placing your order. I have friends that use other software that has terrific service so I was really surprised at how bad it was here.

I acquired this copy of PowerDirector 2024 through Vine. I was interested in the product to support my video editing needs.
After getting the product key entered correctly… use caps lock and include the dashes… I got the software downloaded and installed.
I was initially impressed as importing media was quick and easy. And by quick, I mean FAST. I’ve used other software where it can a while to ‘prepare’ content before you’re able to add it to your timeline.
Here it was nearly instantaneous.
Then as I’m looking at the different elements I can add, such as transitions, I have to say I’m disappointed.
Even though this is a perpetual license priced at over $100, there are many such elements that still require a monthly subscription.
Even when exporting, I was immediately hit with a prompt to either export for free with a watermark or to upgrade. I don’t get it.
Now the cost of their monthly subscription is listed as $4.58 per month which I can say is less than I’ve paid when upgrading fthe software.
I just wasn’t expecting to run into a pay wall given the list price of the software.
I haven’t completed a project and exported just yet, but these are some of the things I’ve run into upon starting a project and clicking around some.

I purchased this software to play around with making some fun family videos for the holidays. I was able to play around with some of the AI features they have. I was impressed with the AI Audio Denoise feature – it detects and removes background noise from my videos (queue the screaming nephew in the background lol) super cool for some of the busier video clips I have. I experimented with the AI Sky replacement and the AI body effects (who needs yoga class now!) and I definitely can see myself creating some cool videos to share at the next family event. Nice stuff!!!!

I got this for my son, who is an avid gamer. He streams to twitch and TikTok, and he was always looking for ways to make his background better and remove background noise (also known as his little sister lol). This was just what he wanted. He can green screen his room and make anything his background, and he can go back and edit his videos to remove any outside noise. Granted I don’t know that much about stuff like this, but he does, and he said this was just what he needed. So it gets a 10/10 from us!
