I got this basket to use on the back rack of my new Level 2 Aventon electric bicycle.
This basket does exactly what I was hoping it woudl do: provide a secure way to transport items like bags or backpacks. I keep it folded up in crate form and it looks and works fine that way. Comes close to my seat but does not interfere with riding at all. Cargo net works great, plenty of easy-to-use holes on the basket.
I don’t fold it flat very often, but want to try using the flat version to transport certain kinds of goods (Pizza delivery?)
Mounting was very straightforward, proved parts works better than the screws I considered using instead, and it has been very secure.
Highly recommended!

My first basket one of the clips broke causing items to fall out that side. I got a replacement using amazon within two weeks of using the basket. My 2nd one I do not know how it cracked but probably from some impact while riding my bike and going off a curb. I returned both back. The vendor were nice enough to send me a 3rd basket after having issues. My 3rd one of the winged nuts and screws fell off somehow. The vendor sent me two new mounts along with 4 bolts, washers and winged nuts. Basically all the parts to hold the crate. Let me tell you something if you can get 3 brackets mounted onto this crate. Do it! It makes it way more sturdy and the wing nuts don’t get loose as much. I had a pretty hard fall the other day causing the front to crack. But it was easy enough to fix with zip ties. I highly suggest you use 10 inch 65lb supported zip ties if you carry heavy stuff mounting two zipties each corner to keep the basket holding. This basket fits a 5 gallon jug water container. I took it to refill a 5 gallon water jug and rode it back. No joke! If you plan to carry something that heavy in the basket use some straps or net to hold it in or ride at relatively slow speeds. I’ve put many big things in this basket. My spare ebike battery, tool box bag both weighing together close to about 35 lbs and many other things. My favorite part about this basket is being able to mount a ton of rear led’s making you seeable from the rear. I’ve been able to mount the wsd all in one rear led, magicshine seemee 300 using their clip holder using zipties, knog rear mid and big cobb and finally the one I am using finally is the knog rear blinder rack using four m4x16mm and six of the washers that comes with the product. One of the best feature is if you can get a cover over the basket the items inside your basket look stealthy. No one will know what is in your basket unless they dig into it. Overall this is probably the biggest basket you can find on Amazon as well as being foldable when not needed to be used. I highly recommend you get this bike basket. I already bought it a 2nd time and would buy it again and again.

Feels sturdy. The collapsing function is a bonus.

Large size and sturdy plastic material. Easily foldable, which also makes it more resistant to breaking on impact (because it just folds). Useful to place groceries or a backpack. The cargo net keeps items in place and secure.

I only got the basket a few days ago and haven’t had a chance to carry anything significant in it yet, so I can’t speak to its true utility or durability. But so far my experience with it has been good. it is exactly as advertised. It appears to be very well-made. Unlike most baskets, this one has moving parts so,obviously, a lot more engineering was involved. It is well done. Unfolding the basket is very easy. The sides all snapped into place with very little effort. Folding it back down is just as easy. The latches are easy to operate and the hinges work smoothly.
Though installation is pretty straightforward, it was a little more fiddly than I anticipated. I’m not faulting the basket in anyway. I totally blame physics. And sausage figures. The problem I had is that with the bicycle resting on the kickstand, the top surface of the rear rack naturally sloped to the side. There is very little friction between the rack and the basket and gravity was a serious issue. I was ultimately able to do it by myself but it took some trial and error. The key to the process was to position the bicycle upright, and hold it in place with 1 foot on the kickstand. At least to get the first bolt in, it would be much easier if you had an extra pair of hands available. Preferably ones that are attached to long arms and are made up of piano fingers.
I don’t remember seeing it in the description so I was pleasantly surprised to see that the bolts, washers and wing nuts are made of stainless steel.
I’m concerned that the wingnuts will work themselves loose over time and get lost. Because of the shape of the provided lower mounting bars, I don’t think lock washers would help. So I grabbed some 1/4 – 20 Nylock nuts to thread onto the bottom of the bolts so that if the wingnuts did come loose, I at least wouldn’t lose them. That’s when I found out that the bolts are metric. So much for that idea. For now I’m just going to keep an eye on it.
One last issue that I have to deal with is that the top surface of the rack on my bicycle is not completely flat. It kicks up about 3/8 of an inch at the back end. It’s a detail I never considered while shopping. Because the Cyclingdeal basket is much longer than the rack, I’m left with an air gap between the bottom of the basket and the side rails of the rack As a result, I’m not able to thoroughly tighten the rear wing nuts without the deforming the bottom of the basket. In this case, the problem is easily solved with a simple spacer. But it could be a showstopper for some of the baskets out there. In particular, I’m thinking of the ones that are held on with spring loaded clamps. I seriously considered getting one of them. If I had, I would be returning it, because I failed to pay attention to the details. In this case, I got lucky that there’s a fairly easy workaround.
Last, but not least is the cargo net. As promised, it feels very heavy duty and has hooks that are easy to use.
Overall, it has been a positive experience so far, and I have every reason to believe that over time my Cyclingdeal Rear Bicycle Basket will live up to my high expectations. So far, I feel confident in giving it five stars.
Update:
I’ve been using it for the last 10 days. It is as handy as I had hoped. It has enabled me to run many small shopping errands for few cents of electricity instead of burning $5 a gallon gasoline. It will easily pay for itself in a matter of months.

It’s a faff to install, but it’s converted a little folding bike into a grocery run monster and the cargo net brings great peace of mind

Es exacto lo que you querÃa.
Es un poco pesado (+2.5Kg) pero optimo para ebikes.

An excellent product, easy to assemble and attach, sturdy and lightweight. Perfect for my needs.

So I’m writing a positive review for an item I returned….
On the very positive side this basked it very well constructed (I mean it’s tough!), and I liked how easily
it folded down and back up again…very handy. And it’s roomy, it will hold lots of groceries, ammunition, etc….
The only real downside, I thought it was difficult to install on my bike rack. Two hands would have been a really good thing…hey, it’s not all my fault that she left me…
OK, so why did I return it? As soon as I got it installed on my bike I realized that I could not swing my leg
over the basket in order to get on the bike (No, I do not have a step-thru…)
Two things to point out, I’m old, and apparently not very bright because I did not realize this was going to be a problem before I ordered this otherwise excellent rear bike basket….

Replaced a normal crate. Much more solid attachment on bike.
Works with the Radpower RadExpand 5 rear rack since the attachment point is effectively universal.
Allows me to carry heavy items without worrying about zip ties falling about.
