I haven’t installed them on the neck yet because I just got done refinishing it and finishing up putting new frets on it. I did put one of to make sure they fit in the Fender holes and fit perfectly and also look awesome! They will match my Fender Strat body I completely customized and repainted matte white, all black hardware, custom pickguard with an EMG 81 w/18v mod, a cheap tremolo that I blocked off to turn into a hardtail, and these tuners either the white pearl knobs to match the body. I just put this in there in case the some of you wanted to know what all was done to the Strat body lol. It’s for drop C metal only so won’t be any blues and boomer licks being played on this guitar.

Anyways back to the tuners, they came packaged very well in the vacuum sealed plastic with foam on each side inside of the box. The locking nut is not plastic and turns nice and easy and so does the tuner knobs. They seem about the same quality as Tone Ninja locking tuners for less than half the price. I will update once I install them on the neck and get the guitar all setup with strings. FYI – locking tuners don’t make your guitar have better tuning stability, they just make the string changes much easier and faster. If you know how to properly wrap a string around a non locking tuner peg then that can actually be better than locking tuners. I just prefer the look and ease of locking tuners is why I out on all my guitars.

If you are on the fence about buying these then just grab you a set and definitely worth it for $25. I’ve tried some Guyker and another cheaper brand on my stepsons two guitars and these seem to be much better quality and don’t have the plastic locking nut like the other have.

They look great and fit a fender neck well without drilling. My on issue is they are so tall that you get no break angle. Will need at least 2 string tress is not a bar behind the nut. I like them and ordered string trees as everything else about them is great. Smooth feel and stable.

This is the second set I have installed and so far so good. First off, this set further confirmed that my little two sided hammer (hard rubber / HDPE) is the most important tool in any luthiers tool box! These have two prongs that need to slide into the wood so you have to line them up and give em a good whack so that they leave impressions for you to drill two small holes to insert the prongs. Some might wonder why these are needed, but I have used Fender and other major brand tuners without any prongs and if the screw loosens, they can shift on you and cause problems. The prongs prevent this and provide a nice secure fit. The worm gears are brass and the tuning ratio provides accurate response. They are a good choice for a middle of the road build and offer a lot of value for your dollar. These are definately Grexworx approved!

Final Note – It would be nice if Tone Ninja or maybe even Eddaray (hint, hint) offered different tuning machine head options choices such as ebony, rosewood, bone, tulip wood, etc. like I have seen for other tuning machines.

These are ok for a cheap build and again for $20 but my set a few of the tuners feel great and a few of them slip a little. Still for the money I haven’t found anything better than the Wilkinsin ez lock tuners that are not locking tuners but function very well for around $25.

Tight tuners. No play. Dropped right in. Locked the strings in tightly. Not a bad set of tuners. I’ll do a install download for yall. If you like tight turning tuners that when you twist and they don’t feel like there rolling back on you and the string shaft doesn’t move with stringing up new ones with no play. NO PLAY! you’re going to love these. ❤️ and they look like 100$ machines on the headstock. Well boxed in own packaging. And HEAVY well made. Better buy them before I buy them All..
