I bought these for my husband’s birthday after researching similar products quite throughly. I’m delighted with my choice! They are very reasonably priced: a good thickness; so sturdy; easy to adjust and my fears about worrying they might snap during use have disappeared. It’s very quick and easy to adjust the length, which we do often as our 5 and 3 year old sons love using them too. The plastic material is also surprisingly comfy on your hands. A great product!

It is because of sellers like these that I keep returning to Amazon and not the high street.
The exercise rings arrived promptly and well packaged and are exactly as described and pictured. The instructions for setting up the rings are easy to read and understand. The rings themselves are well made and a great addition to my home gym, there are countless instructional videos on Youtube on how to use these and the seller themselves have a few on their website.
The customer service was better than I was expecting, I received an additional order confirmation email direct from the seller as well as emails confirming delivery time, that delivery had taken place and to check my satisfaction with the product.

I purchased these rings about two weeks ago, here on Amazon from Elite Sportz Equipment. I paid full price and chose them above the cheaper option (these were the second cheapest when I shopped). The cheaper option had a lot of negative reviews, notes about smell and bad straps, etc. I chose the ESE rings because of the positive reviews, and so, wanted to add my voice of praise. They are awesome, and you should buy them. No need to pay more money unless you are a crazy professional who needs fancy wooden ones or something.

My main motivation for purchasing these was my son, who just turned 5. He is a climber, and will climb everything from flagpoles to door trim and everything in between that will support human weight. I frequently catch him hanging upside down from the handholds above the doors in our minivan (they are apparently strong enough to support the weight of a 5 year old). While visiting a local tumbling/gymnastics/jump-rope establishment I noticed that they had two sets of similar rings hanging. I inquired into their purpose, and was told they are an excellent core-training tool, as well as helping the children to get used to the motion of flipping and having their feet go over their heads in a roll-like motion. I was immediately smitten, and knew this was what my boy needed. I had previously installed a climbing rope in his room. We have 9′ ceilings and I used hardware specific for bearing overhead loads and supporting human weight, and hung a 3/4′ rope with knots about every 6 inches. He scurries up and down this, and easily became bored. I installed the rings in the other corner of the room and they were an instant hit. I used eye bolts into my rafter (I have an open attic, making it easier to access the rafters and use a through-bolt). Having been a rigger in a past life, I highly recommend that you use Grade 8 hardware, or hardware specifically designed for overhead loads, and the lifting of human weight. Anything less is bound to eventually fail. I am always a believer in overbuilding and overprotecting my children, so I used hardware with a safe working load limit (WLL) that was four times my own weight (1000 lbs minimum). This certainly isn’t required, but it gives me great peace of mind when I’m hanging upside down on the rings. I secured the included nylon straps to a shackle that was then secured to the eye bolt. This made the straps easily removable, so that I could move them to my gym for workout purposes (where I installed another set of eye bolts).

The package was shipped to me promptly. The box was simple and easy to open. All of the parts were nicely packaged. There were two nylon straps with cam buckles, two rings, and a bonus jump rope, as well as instructional material, and information with links to instructional videos on the manufacturer’s website, which I bothered to watch, though the included material was simple to read and more than sufficient. The rings were installed by simply threading the nylon strap through my shackle, back down though the ring, and finally around the cam (there is writing on the side showing the direction the strap should go through). There are Velcro straps stitched to the strap just above the cam, which makes for a convenient place to wrap up the excess strap. These straps are quite long, and unless you are hanging them from a 20′ warehouse ceiling, should more than cover any normal situation. The cams are easily adjustable, simply by pressing on the release lever, and adjusting the height of the rings is quick and easy.

After I had them installed, I tried all of the exercises detailed in the online videos. I am excited about the workout these provide, and was sore the next day after just a few of the exercises. They use many more muscles than a traditional push-up and pull-up seem to. Not being satisfied with a few pansy exercises, I then took to some flipping and hanging upside down, just to be sure the rings would hold up to all of the abuse I plan to dish out. I even stood in the rings and did leg exercises that way and put some major stress on the rings, straps, and my shackles and bolts, to ensure that nothing would fail or give way. (Basically looked like a grown man slipping on ice repeatedly, while suspended 4′ in the air, which my kids found very amusing.) Needless to say, the rings and straps held up very well. If you are wondering, I’m 6′ and 230 lbs. I’ve also had an additional 60 lbs of boys hanging from my neck, on my chest, while I am hanging from the rings, and they hold up perfectly. The straps have no stretch and have held everything I have thrown at them. I did not notice if the straps were labeled with a WLL limit, and I haven’t checked the website or material for that.

My kids have fallen in love with these rings, and gripe and complain every time I take them into my gym and forget to bring them back into their bedroom. They use them on a daily basis, and over the two weeks they have been up, I am already seeing improvement in their upper body and core strength. Not to mention, they are just fun. The boys do flips and like to walk up the wall and hang upside down, as well as put their legs through the rings and hang upside down that way. Probably the best $25 I have spent in a long time. We are already making plans to use these out over the river at our favorite swimming hole, and sling them from tree branches while camping this summer.

If you are debating over whether to get these rings or not, just skip a meal one day with your family, and use the money you saved to buy them. Bingo. Next thing you know you will be doing Iron Crosses like Danell Leyva. Go ahead. Just click that button. You won’t regret it.

Such value for money with the added bonus of a skipping rope. I ordered the rings at 4am in the morning and they turned up by 6pm that day, I had the choice of same day delivery and chose that because it was free, but didn’t think I’d receive them later that day as it was a Sunday and it’s for delivery times like that which is why I’m using Amazon for just about everything apart from clothing and food.
I only use the rings outdoors on trees and they are perfect I cannot fault them, the rings themselves are a solid plastic, impossible to break and the straps are thick and strong an after plenty of use are yet to wear .
I’m using the rings min 3 times a week you get a full body workout there’s plenty of video’s on YouTube for exercises . 5*

I got these for my kids not really sure if the size would be ok but they are great! I already had one of those pull-up bars over the door jam so I just threaded the rings onto that and it works great. The kids can hardly resist walking past the door without a quick flip or swing. I can stick the rings up on the pull-up bar if I want them out of the way or just leave them down and let the kids play. I think they are a little rough and I prefer the smooth rings at the gym but as others have mentioned, the texture helps with grip and I have weight training gloves. My tween gets small blisters under the skin from using them too much but it’s no different then when she uses the monkey bars a lot so I can’t fault the rings. I have used them a few times myself as well and it is pretty fun and a great strength training exercise but the kids are on them so much I hardly get a chance. I have had very small kids clear up to larger adults on these with no signs of wear or any problems. I did take them out to the swing set at one point and they were very easy to attach and relocate. The jump rope is pretty great too but my interest was the rings. Definitely one of the better presents I’ve ever gotten my kids. I will say if you use the same set up I do with the pull-up bar, unless you secure the ropes, they can slide along the bar. That hasn’t been an issue for us but it is a safety concern to watch.

This is a basic but sturdy set of gym rings with a set of long straps that are OK enough. Each ring weighs around 400 g. Both rings and the straps weigh in at 1.4 kg. The rings are textured which to some degree offsets the reputed slippiness of plastics, but not to such a degree that the rings cannot rotate in your hands (which is a requirement for some exercises). I find the grip to be fine for my uses, but if you plan on progressing to extended gymnastics routines with minutes of continuous consecutive work in and above the rings I would consider going for wooden rings.

I had major issues with threading the webbing through the cam buckle the first time I did it. With some adjustment of my technique, I am down to between five seconds (on a good day) and 25 seconds (on a bad day) of setup time per cam buckle. I solved my issues by:

    1. Threading the webbing through the bottom of the cam buckle (as instructed), pulling a handful of it “backwards” and THEN threading the webbing through the appropriate opening while pressing on the part that says “press”. This changes the “angle of attack”. You are “attacking” the opening from a horizontal rather than a curved position. The end-result is precisely the same as in the official instructions.

    2. PRESSING FIRMLY ON THE BUCKLE. This is not completely intuitive as it “feels” like you’ll be squishing the webbing itself when you do this, but it is required for the opening for the webbing to pass to be wide enough.

Once you get the hang of it the setup and the leveling is not a big deal.

For a moment, when setting up the rings the first time, I was worried that I would find the process to be a big enough of a hassle that I would just leave the rings mounted in my doorway pullup bar, but this fear was unfounded. Switching from using the rings at home to using them outdoors in a calisthenics park is doable even if you are fairly lazy. As a comparison point I find it less annoying than say setting up an incline bench press with a moderate amount of weight. Anyone with experience of working with free weights is actually likely to be relieved when you realize that there are no plates to fetch and move around. If you begin your routine with non-ring exercises (pushups, bar pullups/chins, burpees or whatever) you can setup the rings between the rest periods of your initial exercises. Taking them down is trivial.

The straps come with a velcro attachment that allows you to tie up excess webbing. Upon seeing it the first time I thought it was gimmicky but it actually works well in practice.

I thought that I would initially use the rings for having a more convenient way of performing inverse rows in various locations, but I quickly took a liking to ring variations of classical isolation exercises such as biceps curls, triceps extension, chest flyes and reverse flyes. Movements which when performed strictly only require you to use a fraction of your body weight work really well.

If you are new to rings or plan to use them in an accessory fashion I would recommend these, as they are very affordable and do the job well enough. The only official seller of these rings seems to be a lot more responsive than average.

I ordered on the 28th of August, the rings were dispatched on Aug 31, and I had them in my hands in SWEDEN on Sep 6. So that’s a few days for order processing and less than a week for the actual shipment to SWEDEN.

As reported by other customers, once the strap locking system is sorted out, which only took a few minutes, the gym rings are great. We bought them as part of our two grandsons’ ( five and seven year olds) birthday presents. Our older grandson asked if he could have the rings on their climbing frame. The frame has two metal hooks for attaching rope ladders etc so the straps fit through these very neatly. Our grandsons have gymnastic lessons so think that the rings are fantastic and are using them for building their strength, so our seven year old tells us!

Background and use: I am an average, middle-age guy trying to keep in shape. At least five days a week I do body-weight training; I want a multi-use training device that doesn’t take up much room (I love my toys and they will eventually use up all the space in my house…).

So far I have used these rings for: Dips, L-Seats (abs), pull-ups, inverted rows, incline flys, one-arm inverted rows, inverted pull ups, and generally playing like I am 12 again.

    PROS:
The rings are very (very!) sturdy with a light texture. Easy to grip but not painful on the hands
The straps are typical webbing, cordura, type material, almost identical to the tie-downs I use for my motorcycles. And just as strong. I am 172 lbs; I can hang from one ring/strap without straining the material in the slightest.
    Multi-use device
Takes up very little space when stored
Once rigged up, easy to adjust height
The straps are very long, unless you use them in a hangar, or gymnasium without bars, I doubt you will run out of strap
The straps have a sewn-on small strap to wrap up the excess webbing

    CONS
Feeding the strap through the locks is a pain
No quick release/mount; if you intend to mount these and leave them up, this is not a big deal. I put them up and take them down as needed, this is not convenient in the least. I will be looking for some sort of modified S hook to put on these.
If you use in an average size room (I use in my basement – 8′ ceilings), there is a lot of strap left over to wrap up

I have not played with the jump rope yet (It is hanging to allow the folds to work out), however a cursory glance shows it to be built like a typical speed rope – one piece plastic handles with bearings at the ‘rope’ (more a plastic/rubber cord) mount point to facilitate ease of spin. I hope they are adjustable, but otherwise I say a definite bonus. Once I’ve had an opportunity to use the rope a bit I will update this review.

In short, I absolutely love these rings. I have no doubt they will last a lifetime and will get lots of use as I discover more ways to interact them. The fact that this product is priced so reasonably made this an easy purchase indeed (no remorse).
