I’m obsessed with this robot vacuum. We had an original roomba and were quite unimpressed over the years. Our biggest complaints were poor suction, getting stuck under furniture, dinging furniture legs, and having to manually cut out hair (the worst).
This vacuum is SO much smarter than previous generations. I love that it maps our house and vacuums in a similar fashion as we would (lines back and forth). Love that you can schedule which rooms to vacuum and not just the days and times it goes on.
It has very high suction, so you can always tell in which rooms it ran that day. You can also program how high or low you want the suction and it automatically lowers suction when transitioning from carpet to hardwood/tile flooring. It has been very effective at keeping our various types of floors clean. Human and pet hair and crumbs from our little ones are essentially non-existent.
We absolutely love the self-emptying station and hair-cutting capabilities, which makes it way more low-maintenance than prior generations of robot vacuums. I have been checking and there has been no need to cut out any tangled human hair in the brush.
I also love that you can set no-go zones to ensure it won’t get stuck under furniture (it has gotten stuck under a couch or two at our house, unfortunately).
Get one. You won’t regret it.

This thing is great we have 2 super shedder dogs that blow their coats in the spring and running this every 12 hours has really kept the dog fur tumbleweeds to a minimum. We have always had issues keeping up with the fur output but it’s taken care of now. The hair cutter also works great never any hair or fur wrapped around the bristles just the very ends need to be cleaned once a week or so,

The only cons I see are on max power the battery drains over 1% a minute if you have a larger house you will need to run the power lower or it will need to recharge in between rooms. The filter on the dustbin is also a little on the small side so it will require cleaning more often. Likewise the dust bags in the base are not huge so we nearly filled it in a week vs the advertised 60 days when the dogs were shedding this spring. The base is also loud, like industrial shop vac loud when emptying the robot.

With that said it still gets 5 stars from me, it cleans the tons of dog fur incredibly well, the app works good. It avoids everything it could get stuck/tangled in. Running it on the second highest suction it still cleans just as good and has 50% battery left when done as we have alot of hard floor. The self emptying works great just a little loud, the hair cutter works excellent and it goes at least a week without any intervention, 10 minutes of cleaning the robot a week for all the hours of vacuuming is a great trade.

Will be looking at the Eufy X10 Omni in the near future when we want a mopping robot!

This works very well, and is amazingly inexpensive. I saw it in a recommendation from the NY Times “Wirecutter” column.

It doesn’t have any ‘smart’ features, but my original Roomba was just as dumb and was a miracle machine, so I don’t complain. Suction is very good. To use the timed program feature, be sure the remote is in line of sight to the machine, because the program is in the remote, not in the vacuum.

It’s very quiet! Also it is very low to the ground, and so doesn’t get stuck in places where the Roomba would always get jammed.

BE SURE TO CLEAN AND REMOVE HAIR FROM THE ROLLER BRUSH WITH EACH USE
I have four cats, and the Eufy picks up their fur very well. But the fur gets twisted on the ends of the roller brush and forms a felted pad that pushes the roller out of its square socket just a bit. This causes it not to engage well with the drive socket cup, and so the square end slips a little. That slippage causes rapid wear, eventually making the roller brush nonfunctional. So be sure to keep that part clean.

My 2 cats and I recently moved from a 3 bedroom house to a small 2 bedroom apartment. And even though I vacuum around their box every day when I clean it and I don’t wear shoes inside, the floor was getting visibly dirty within a day or two. So, having the Eufy vacuum every day is definitely helping to control the fur and dirt. And it’s able to vacuum both floors and area rugs with no problem. However, it can get hung up on electrical cords, thin scatter rugs (like the bath mat), and other things close to the floor (it pruned the lowest leaves off my big philodendron). So you have to “child proof” to minimize this, but unless you have no floor lamps in the house, it will get stuck once in a while. And it will move light items like dining chairs and the cat dishes when it bumps them. This is only a minor nuisance until it sloshes the water bowl and then sucks up and spreads the water, making a worse mess than it cleans. Again this can be avoided by “child proofing”, but it’s a bit annoying.

Finally, although it is less work than getting out the big vacuum every other day, it needs to be emptied daily. So you can’t leave it alone for more than a day. It also needs to be cleaned weekly, but the included cleaning tool works very well, so it only takes me 5 minutes or so.

I still get out the big vacuum once a week to get the spots Eufy can’t get to, but overall it is helping keep the floor looking and feeling cleaner. But now that I’ve lived with it for about a month, I wish I’d bought a slightly fancier model that learns not to run into things. And if you travel regularly, you should consider getting a unit that empties itself daily.

I love this vacuum cleaner! It is the third robotic vacuum I’ve had and is by far my favorite. (I named her Hazel III after the maid in the old comic strip.) I can see why it’s the best-selling robotic vacuum on Amazon. One of the reasons I bought it is that I already have a Eufy rechargeable stick vacuum, which is also wonderful and well made. The other robotic vacs I had were an iRobot Roomba and a Roborock. Here are my reasons for loving Hazel III:
    1. It’s very quiet.
    2. It’s very lightweight.
    3. It’s a lower height than the other vacuums so that it fits under more furniture than the others did.
    4. It’s well made with quality parts and a nice finish.
    5. It’s simple to figure out.
    6. It’s easy to clean. The only thing that takes a bit of time is the main brush, since I have two long-haired cats and need to untangle their hair from the brush. However, the brush does not have small pieces on each end that fall into the wastebasket and need to be fished out when it’s being cleaned. Also, the parts fit back together easily after they’re cleaned.
    7. It doesn’t give false signals, like telling me the filter and brush need to be cleaned when it really needs to be recharged. In fact, it doesn’t talk at all, which is refreshing for a change.
    8. It’s very reasonably priced.
    9. The remote and vacuum itself have legends on them to explain what the icons and the beeps mean.
    10. Even though it only works for 90 minutes on standard suction and doesn’t then recharge and go out again, it seems to remember where it’s been and doesn’t always head off in the same direction.
    11. Even though three feet of clearance is recommended for it to find the docking station, I wanted to put it in the knee hole of a kitchen cabinet desk, which doesn’t have three feet of clearance, but the vacuum often finds its way back, regardless. If it doesn’t, I just place it in front of the docking station, push the button, and it docks itself.
    12. The manual is actually written in good, clear English, as opposed to a slipshod translation from Chinese, which is a very refreshing change.
    13. I did put double-sided tape on the bottom of the charger unit so that it wouldn’t slide around on the floor when the vacuum was attempting to dock—no big deal.
    14. I took advantage of the lightning deal and bought a second one.
    15. Full disclosure, I’ve only had my first one a few weeks, but so far, so good.

Update a couple weeks later: I recant #10. Hazel III didn’t travel to the “west wing” of my long, ranch-style house as well as I thought she did, so I will station Hazel IV in the other end of the house so the house will get better coverage.

Purchased this item on prime day to replace my iRobot Roomba. I did purchase the simplest model, no app or wifi connected, just a remote. But you don’t not need any of that smart stuff! This robot Vacuum does a great job of cleaning our house, nice and quiet compared to the Roomba. Great succession. It makes it back to the base every time, my Roomba did 1/5 times. I have it programmed it to clean every day at 9am via the remote and like clock works it does. Battery lasts the whole cleaning cycle and then some.

This is a no brainer purchase for someone looking for a great valued robot vacuum.

I bought this to replace our old Roomba; we’ve relocated the Roomba to another floor of our house.
This robot vacuum is much more quiet, but unfortunately it also gets stuck under our couch.
I guess I’m going to have to add a piece of painted wood between the legs of our couch to prevent this robot from getting stuck every day 🙁

But the suction power is great and the remote control works really well.

I bought this vacuum after our old Deebot Robot Vacuum broke, and needed a new one that doesn’t break the bank. (Warning, once you have a Robot Vacuum, you can’t live without one anymore!)
This little guy is a fraction of the price of other, more “famous” brands (you know which one I mean), while providing impressive performance. You can adjust the suction power, and also choose the Auto Boost mode, where it increases the suction when it goes over carpets. We have a cat and the robot has no problem picking up fur and dirt from all surfaces.
The only reason I’m giving 4 and not 5 stars is because the app could be improved. It works great for things like adding no-go zones and boundaries, but the function of dividing your map into different rooms is limited: it won’t allow you to create rooms under a certain size, so I had to group my bathroom together with my hallway and group my kitchen with my dining area. Also, my apartment is oriented towards south-east, and so the floor plan map shows up on a 45 degree angle in the app, while the squares you draw up for zone cleaning only work in 90 degree angles. This is a bit complicated to explain if you don’t see how the app works, but the bottom line is, the app works, it’s just a bit clunky, and I hope they’ll keep improving it!

Update, May 15, 2024: Today the new battery lasted 100 minutes.

Update, May 8, 2024: I sent an email to the manufacturer explaining the battery situation and they sent me a new battery under warranty.

Very poor manual because of very small illustrations which are not the same as on the robot, plus does not explain how to delete a setting. A fairly good robot though, cleans well but tends to remain in larger rooms, it starts in the living room of 1,500 sq.’ apartment, manages to find the bedroom, but once it exits the bedroom it does not go back to finish the bedroom and washroom. My fix for this is to put it in the bedroom and close the door and let it run until it finishes the bedroom, then take it to the living room. It does not clean near the charging station. Very quiet, bumps very gently. When it is working beside you, you can still hold a conversation.

It is very easy to clean the waste bin, roller, wheels and filter. I clean it and wipe off the machine each time I use it, which is twice a month. I find this vacuum very easy to use and clean. It usually runs for about 1.5 hours, then recharges.

For $200.00 Canadian it is an okay value. It does not have the headaches and problems associated with programming using cell phones. I understand why manufacturers went that route, but it isn’t good.

TIPS: do one room at a time. The reason is that the robot learns the room and wastes less time learning multiple rooms. Give it plenty of time to fully recharge between uses. CLEAN IT, CLEAN IT, CLEAN IT after each use – remember to do the wheels, they pop out so easily.
