AZ Reviews –
Use these for metal detecting as they are plastic, they are as strong as any metal ones i have ever used TOP PRODUCT!
Jan R Pearce –
Handle and blade are one piece. Steel blades often bend. Handles often separate. This product does neither. It’s the best garden trowel.
KeithR –
Hard plastic and is sturdy. Should last a long time.

Simple, durable plastic composite trowel which fits perfectly in my hand. Using it to garden my work plants, moving soil into pots, and turning the soil. For the price I have no complaints, and hopefully it will last for years.

I work for Empire Green Lawn Sprinklers and I use this everyday vigorously and it is still kickin. Use this little shove on multiple terrain digging up rocks, roots, clay, etc. Would definitely buy again its perfect for irrigation its very durable and I dont have to worry about damaging wires or pipe.
AZ Reviews –
A lightweight, manageable trowel that works well for breaking up hardened dirt clods and excavating difficult soil. I am unsure if it is original, but I feel that the quality is not what I would have expected from a Fiskars product. I can honestly say that it is worth the price (less than 5 AUD).

At first I was a little afraid to order a “plastic” garden trowel, but the price was too good to pass up, so I gave it a go. I was pleasantly surprised at the feel and sturdiness of these; they don’t feel like cheap plastic, but more of a very sturdy resin type material with a good weight. Not quite as heavy or weighty as metal, but definitely sturdy enough for digging.
This one is my second purchase; I bought one a few months ago and have been happy with it; it has held up well, so thought I’d get another since I always carry them around and misplace them.
Besides the price, the best part is that they don’t get rusty.

Lightweight, tough, doesn’t rust! Plus lifetime warranty
Amazon Customer –
The tool is great, 5 star, but why oh why do they ruin it by wrapping the handle with a label that needs solvent to remove?? The tool has a hole to hang it- why not attach the label through that with a string? Two stars off for stupid.

When this hand trowel arrived my first impression was that it was a cheap plastic waste of money, but was I wrong! The trowel is very light weight but performs just as robustly as the metal one I have and cleans us more easily. It actually is easier to dig with and just such a surprise. Not just curious to see how many seasons this thing can last, but given that it is a Fiskars, probably a long time.

Small size is both plus and minus… I bought this for backpacking for, well, you know. Its small size and light weight make it ideal as a pack accessory. However, its small size and light weight means unless the ground where you’re digging is loamy earth, free of rocks and/or roots, there’s not a lot of leverage, and so its difficult to clear a hole big enough for your offering to Mother Earth. Its a trade-off between size/ weight and convenience and effectiveness. This may seem harsh, but I didn’t want to just “paper over” it’s limitations, IYSWIDT. I guess you could say it’s definitely a crappy tool.

I like Fiskar products and have always been partial to their scissors. Last year I bought some of these garden trowels and gave one to my sister. She loved it and praised it so much, I bought 4 at Christmas time last year and stocking stuffed one for her, her twins and my mother. They were a great hit.
One of them did break and I forget the circumstances but the new dog played a part in its destruction. She was so unhappy to be without her trowel, I got her one shipped out to her within a day. She’s a happy gardener again and so is the rest of the family. BTW, no one will share or loan their trowel to anyone else either, so that’s a plus for Santa 😉

We started a garden this year and this came in very handy. It’s very sturdy and cheaper than a lot of the stainless steel ones.
