We have tried several different beds, and we keep coming back to this one. It’s a fairly thick foam, so our older dogs like it for their joints. The puppies like anything the older dogs like.

They will scratch at the bed sometimes and the fabric will wear through leaving the memory foam exposed for them to chew up. But (1) that is user error and (2) it takes a long time for them to get through them. Other beds last a matter of days. These last a couple of years.

The covers can be removed for washing. It will shed some in the dryer, but does not shrink so it goes back together just fine.
