The product looks nice but the bottom is not very sturdy. I suspect it will not hold up to two kittens and for almost $100, it feels overpriced. Item arrived 3 days late from the promised delivery date.

Not the same one as pictured. Mine is completely gray. I didn’t order a completely gray one. So that’s annoying. It seems like a decent little cubby. I bought it for my rescue opossum bc she outgrew her old one & she’s not happy w/ me… but she will be when she’s not falling out of her tiny cubby everyday now. It’s very easy to put together. My cats are obsessed w/ it so now I’m going to have to get them one. The size is as listed. The appearance of it is what you’d expect. Idk why it would smell… but it doesn’t. & it’s probably going to be annoying to clean bc the fabric is textured so I’m sure cat hair will love to attach to it. But overall

I bought this during what would become my cat’s final weeks. I went with this instead of a cat tree because he wasn’t really interested in playing as much. This worked great for him to lounge on top of while I was working, it was the perfect height for him to see out of the bedroom windows too. And of course when he wanted to hide away he had plenty of private space to do that too.
The unit is sturdy enough for me to prop my feet on when needed (DO NOT SIT ON THIS). My cat and dog were very close in size at 🤏 just under 20 lbs and it honestly had enough room for the two of them to sleep in at the same time.
When not in use you can simply take the bottom out and collapse it down. Store all the ottoman and its bottom inside of the lid and slide it under the couch, under the bed, or easily tuck in the closet.

This is easy to set up and the mat looks washable although I have not tried to wash it. My cat immediately went inside and refuses to come out after it was set up, so I think that’s a win.

I ordered this hoping my two cats would fit. They do! The part of the house where they stay gets pretty chilly at night in the winter. It does not come with any padding on the bottom. I ordered the Furhaven Self-Warming Pet Mat (basically a Mylar and foam insert) for the bottom and placed it in between the layers of a folded, fluffy, lap-size blanket. They love it. They’ve gotten bigger so I just ordered a second one.
The ottoman is constructed just like those fabric cubes for organization, but instead of cardboard, the sides are much thicker and rigid. It’s great as a foot stool or use as a table by topping it with a big serving tray. I would discourage anyone from sitting on it though.
