Garmin has excellent tech support. The maps are much more current than Rand McNally, and Garmin’s traffic updates actually work. Switching to Garmin’s software after 5yrs of Rand took some adjustment, but I am pleased. Do be ready for an initial 10GB download to update maps out of the box, but, if for any reason you need to factory reset, you will NOT need to re-download those maps. Good trucking GPS.

Bonne grandeur et plutôt facile d’utilisation, bonne précision pour les trajets et les différentes aire de repos et truck stop. Le trafic en temps réel et les itinéraires proposer sont bien, un petit hic, souvent sur le trajet il te fait prendre une sortie et te fait utiliser les voies de service inutilement. Après plusieurs mois d’utilisation je suis assez satisfait.

Really love this GPS. I tried the Dezl otr 710 for two weeks and was unimpressed due to the lack of info it puts on the the screen at a quick glance. Now the otr 810 it puts all the info and more on the screen and has been a great upgrade from the dezl 760.

If you are a otr driver you definitely need a good GPS. Especially one meant just for truck drivers. You don’t want to be sent down a road that you shouldn’t be on. The Garmin dezl 810 in my opinion is a must have!
They are expensive. It’s money well spent though. It has a really nice interface and so far has served me well. I can trip plan, keep up with traffic and weather, and track my daily mileage. It has just a ton of useful features that are really easy to get to on the go. Simple press of a button you can see what stops are ahead if you need to use the restroom, get something to eat, or just need a break to get out and stretch your legs.
If you’re reading this you are probably wondering if you should spend your hard earned money on this.. The answer is yes! My company has a navigation system installed in every truck.. I bought this and use it every day! Makes my work life a lot easier.

This unit is top shelf compared to the Rand McNally Overdryve 7 2pro or what ever its called. Build quality is solid compared to the RM. The software is more stable than the RM because the RM would freeze up and require a reboot on occasion and at the most inopportune times. But after using the Garmin 810 for a week I can tell a huge difference between the 2 units. The Garmin is faster, not buggy, more solid build AND the magnet mount is stronger than the refrigerator magnet mount on the RM. the Garmin mount will pull the unit out of your hand when setting it back on the mount. No more flying off the dashboard on bumpy roads! This thing is awesome if your a truck driver or even just traveling on vacation because you can select “car mode” if needed. Just get it and you won’t regret it IMO… Safe travels errbody! 👍
