Ok so I haven’t been able to wash my car for almost a year because of the drought and I’m the person that only wants me to wash my car, so I don’t do car washes. The brake dust was so baked onto my wheels that I literally said “maybe I should have bought the super strong one instead” this wheel cleaner amazed me it got about 98% of the baked brake dust off. Sure it’s not 100% but hey it’s been on my wheels for almost a year so I’ll cut the product some slack. I mean just look at the pictures

Works good. Cleans my wheels, no damage like other products ive seen that supposedly strip the clear coat on some wheels. Only thing is when you spray your wheels this stuff gets on your rotors and will give it some lubricating and when you press the brake itll slip a bit. Make sure to wash well.

Griot’s Garage’s Wheel Cleaner is a very nicely made product.
The trigger works nicely when covering the larger portions of my wheel and the inner barrel of my wheels.
The cleaner is green in color but doesn’t produce an irritating chemical smell when sprayed.
It’s weaker than other wheel cleaners but you won’t have to worry about it stripping off your wheel’s clear coat or even your car’s paint when you accidentally over spray. Since the cleaner is weaker, you may need to agitate the brake dust off your wheels if they have been baked on for awhile. If you wash your car frequently, you probably just need to spray, wait a few minutes then just rinse it off with water.

This stuff works great! Griot’s garage is one good brand compared to all the other fske competition. Griot’s just keeps it simple and strong. No need to have 8 different types of tire shine or wheel cleaner. At most 2 wheel cleaners, one heavy duty and one basic which is this one and is already potent! Highly recommend!

I was expecting a lot more performance. I still needed to use a brush to get the brake dust and grime off. I bought just about every brake dust product out there for my front rims on my Mercedes Sprinter and all of them came in just average. The best was probably the bleche wite by westley black magic, but even that was not 5 stars. I finally cleaned my rims with a hot soapy water and a rim brush and used a leaf blower to get all the water gone then I waxed the rims using car wax and now the dust just hoses off without any chemical. This may be 5 stars with less brake dust, but on the Sprinter rims it was just average, no batt or worse than other stuff.

I can never find a wheel cleaner I like without braking the bank. What I mean is this product can be used sparingly and still work.

Some reviews do note that this does not remove all of the brake dust and other grime by just spraying the cleaner on the wheels. For me, I don’t want an overly harsh cleaner that may harm the wheel finish or at the least, remove the wax that I’ve applied to the wheels. This wheel cleaner is perfect if you don’t mind applying a little elbow grease to get rid of stubborn grime. I’ve used this product in the past and will continue to use it.
