My dog is 9 yrs. old so I’ve purchased 9 of these as I get him a new one every year. Usually, it’s just loud and the bark is annoying to humans but like catnip (ya know if dogs liked catnip) to my dog. My pup was so excited when his new one arrived back in early July 2024 and couldn’t wait for me to pull the tab to get the barking, bouncing, wiggling to begin.

I took it out of the package, pulled the tab and gave it to him, he shook it and this HORRIBLE screeching/squealing sound came out of it! Oh boy, it was defective. I had to take it away from my boy and get on Amazon and do an exchange because it should bark and bounce and wiggle, not squeal/screech and bounce and wiggle. I did the exchange and a few days later a new one was delivered! The joy on my pups face was priceless. Again, I pulled the tab out and gave it to him and this one ALSO HAD A HORRIBLE SCREECHING/SQUEALING SOUND!

I decided to contact the seller directly as I didn’t want to get them in trouble with Amazon for selling multiple defective products. I called the number on the enclosed paperwork and got voicemail so I left a message with my name, email address and return phone number just as the outgoing message instructed. I waited 4 days and no one called me back so I called the number again and again got voicemail so I left yet another message, it’s been over a week now and no one has bothered to call me back.

Terrible customer service and two defective products that they absolutely know about and here I am giving a trash review for a trash company with a great product that my dog loves when it works as advertised.

Fortunately, I see there are other companies on Amazon that sell similar products so my dog will not have to go without for too long. Just seriously disappointed that I’ve purchased 9 of these from this vendor over the years and can’t get an email or call of apology! I hope Amazon pulls them as a seller so they don’t scam anyone else!

My 10 month old aussie loves it. It’s made out of a tough material that a small/medium-sized dog won’t be able to chew threw right away. I didn’t have any issues with the batteries, but…

One, the ball is heavy. He swings it around like a mace and it hits the ground hard enough that the neighbors downstairs can hear it.

Two, it’s easy to turn off. My pup is smart enough where whenever he turns it off he runs to me to turn it back on, so he clearly enjoys it.

Three, the grey fur comes off easily. My pup is swallowing mouthfuls of felt fur. I can see it on his tongue whenever he puts it down to pant.

Four, the ball containing the motor is a heavy duty plastic but it already has dents in it from only 20 minutes of play.

Five, I think the cost is worth it, but only because my pup hasn’t destroyed it yet. However, if you want this toy to last, you need to monitor your dog.

Overall, great fun toy, but design needs some tweaks. I’m hoping another cover will fit the same little motor so he won’t swallow as much fur.

The toy has a CHOKE HOLD on my dog. BUT this toy has soo many areas for IMPROVEMENT. In the video, is my miniature dachshund in full -animalistic mode. The fabric sleeve that comes with the toy is like a piece of paper to my dachshund. So to create some kind of game out of a hard plastic ball, i cut up some snacks and spread them across a rectangle piece of fabric. Then I roll the plastic ball in the fabric and tie a bunch of knots. Then I do the same process again so I have 2 layers. Lastly, I wrap the entire ball in masking tape lmao. My dog is extremely smart and doesn’t like to go for walks so he is OP at brain games. He can take off the tape and undo all of the knots in around 45-60 minutes…that’s if the toy doesn’t break mid way through play. Anyway, here is my feedback.

Batteries life sucks(they got me buying a suspicious amount of batteries 🙄). The outer fabric is super thin so my dogs teeth are at risk because the toy is hard plastic. The fabric isn’t durable either. The off and on button is wayyy too big. My dog likes the click the bottom with his tongue. Overall toy durability is low and spins inconsistently.
In conclusion, this toy is very crappy but it is the best I can find….take my money so I can watch my son play proudly

Received one of these in a Bark box years ago with my first dog and he loved it so I bought one for my 2 puppies and they love it just as much. Would buy again

My young girl loves this toy. She was a bit unsure of it when it first arrived and seemed to think if she barked at it, it would work. She soon worked it out and 6 months later is still running around with it, tossing it around and catching it. I have had to change the batteries a few times but it has been the best value toy in keeping her entertained. The only complaint I have with it is that there is no screw on the cover of the battery box. So sometimes you think the batteries are flat but the batteries have just come loose. I use sticky tape at the moment until I find a small screw. May not be an issue on others as it could have just been missed in the one we received.

The only thing I don’t like about this toy is the time it takes to replace the batteries. It comes with a velcro closure, but our sweet little angels destroyed that velcro like a shark after a surfer 🏄‍♀️. So I sewed it closed with dental floss.
But with good batteries in it, this thing is a riot! If you drop it or shake it or give it a reasonable bump, it takes off! It vibrates and jumps and makes a weak barking sound that our pups simply cannot ignore! They grab the tail and shake it so hard, and then they wrestle to see who gets to drag it into the next room. If left alone, the toy shuts off automatically, but any good shake or bump brings it back to life. Battery life will depend on usage, of course, but we got about a week at first. They don’t play with it every day any more, so now we get 2 or 3 weeks from fresh batteries.
One of my favorite pranks is to take it with me to a friend’s house, and drop it on the floor for the canine occupant there. Some go nuts for it, some run for their safe place!
We are very satisfied with this dog toy!

Dog is such a small word for something that takes up so much room in your heart.
