I love oval plates so that box was checked. I’m into all things sustainable so that box was checked. Hasn’t stained and we are ketchup, bbq sauce and French salad dressing people. Holds plenty of food. All boxes checked. Easy to clean and store and my family loves the lightweight plates. I thought they would be more of a hard melamine plastic feel but they aren’t. They are a more pliable feel but firmly structured. I got the wheat color. Satisfied. Oh yeah, no problem in the microwave or dishwasher either.

The rectangular shape is perfect for a sandwich, hot dog or burger and chips. It’s sturdier than a paper plate but lightweight and convenient to use while watching t.v. or outside.

We eat out on the deck a lot during the warmer months, and these plates save my sanity.
Our grandkids are all young and eager to help carrying plates and so on. We hate the waste of paper plates, don’t like pure plastic plates, so these are perfect in case of accidental dropping vs using stoneware or other breakable dishes.
We’ve not noticed any staining at all even in the face of BBQ sauce, butter, or whatever else we serve on them. They go through the dishwasher like champs. We’re buying some of the round plates from this same line. Summertime is good!

I had pretty high hopes for these after trying to replace some of our existing wheat straw plates that had broken, but what arrived was definitely an ‘oh, okay’ at best.
The boxes themselves that the plates came in note that they’re perfect for ‘BBQ, picnics’ etc- which I think is true, they’re perfect for outdoor or casual use, but unfortunately don’t have the quality we were hoping for for indoor and more common usage.
That being said, they would be perfect for children, camping, parties- just not for daily use. So if you’re looking for something more casual, these are for you!

I was looking for an alternative to paper plates. These plates are great for everyday use that are kid safe and microwave safe. I love the different colors and how nicely they wash up. While they might stain if you microwave them with ketchup on the plate, my one kids likes her ketchup warmed up with her fries, it will eventually fade away with normal hand washing. I would recommend them if your on the fence about getting them.
