This is a easy to set up stand. Legs are sturdy and and nice rubber tips that won’t scratch a nice wood floor. The stand is sturdy enough to support and hold a base trombone vertical with no lean. A few knobs to tighten after you set your stand height. Takes a few seconds to set up, but very easy. Worth the money.

First off, let me say that the Germans make good stuff. Tools, cars, and this trombone stand. The Germans are well known for their manufacturing skill, and I’m really impressed with this particular product. Getting it out of the box, you can feel that it is solidly built, and made of quality materials. The legs and main shaft are powder coated steel. The body is high-impact plastic of some variety, and the hinges are steel allen screws that have steel nuts. In theory, you could loosen them to make the legs fold down more easily, but I probably won’t mess with it. The rubber feet are dense, firm rubber, and as yet, have not marked up the tile floor they sit on. The part that holds the bell is plastic with rubber material similar to the feet. The stand is collapsible, and is maybe 18″ long when folded, and probably about 36″ tall when fully extended. You can move the bell support up and down as well to accommodate your slide length. The adjusting knobs are knurled plastic with white K&M inlaid, which gives it a quality appearance. The clamps that lock it in position are semi-rounded plastic, but the screws are metal, and press against a metal piece attached to plastic, which actually contacts the metal shaft. This means you won’t be putting dents in the shaft, or scratching the finish. It’s a very firm clamping setup, but also very durable. There is also a 5 year manufacturer warranty, which is pretty good, and the tag on the stand says that there are replacement parts guaranteed to be in stock for 10 years or more, which means, I suppose, that if you wore out one of the rubber feet, you could get new ones instead of replacing the entire stand. This assures me that this is a quality product, and not a mass-produced Chinese item (no offense to the Chinese, whose products I purchase quite often). There is one 4 star review on Amazon, but there’s no reason given for the missing star. I’ve played the trombone for over almost 20 years, and this is a high-quality product. I wish I’d have had it in the past, compared to some of the sorry stands I’ve used. No question, this is the best one out there, and it’s reasonably priced.

Bought for my daughters new trombone so wasn’t sitting on the floor in between use. Works well for lessons and practice.

This stand is great for a straight and for an F (trigger) trombone. The lower legs are low enough so that you reduce the risk of hitting your slide with it. Compact enough to travel with it too.

I’m a professional Bone player – this stand is simply phenomenal. Been using it for nearly a year. My last one held up for over 5 years of serious abuse and travel – this one is slightly different but still great quality. Easy to adjust and holds its adjustment without having to overly tighten knob. It feels like this stand will hold up for years to come.

I needed to buy a stand for my trombone because I had a gig where I had to switch between trombone and tuba without much time in between.
When doing my research, I found this to seem the best, but the reviews didn’t particularly rave about it. However, it is very sturdy and I never have a feeling that it will fall over. The screws are sturdy and hold everything in place. The stand is also metal which is a plus. The feet are rubber which keeps it from moving around.
Like with most other stands, though, the actual head of it is rubber which is really tacky. That’s fine since it’s still easy to take on and off, but I wrapped mine in cloth from an old t-shirt which makes it perfect for me.

I was skeptical… but the bone sits on it evenly and the rubber padding locked it in nicely. The legs are super sturdy and when folded up it fit inside my gig bag!
