I play a 35” Sire Marcus Miller M6 and the strings do not fit on here despite being advertised on fitting on 34”-36” basses.

These strings are just what I had been looking for and the customer service is beyond my expectations. Great product for my 6 string acoustic/electric bass. The strings are low tension and the sound wonderful. HUGE THANK YOU to Gear Nuts for going beyond in every way!!!!!
Alec Risser –
These strings feel great, they are low tension and low friction! They have the brightest and punchy-est tone I’ve ever heard from flatwound strings, yet they still retain that smooth warmth that nylon and flatwound strings are known for. These strings are ideal for acoustic and fretless basses. Their warm bold tone meshes perfectly with the sound of an acoustic. The only downside is that they are really sensitive, so they pick up the slightest sound and as a result can be harder to play with out extra noise. If you play rhythm or use a lot of percussion, you can use these extra sounds to your advantage. I would highly recommend these strings!

I’ve had roundwounds on my MTD KZ-6 for several years, and was never exactly happy. On the other hand, I just don’t like the feel of flatwounds at all (have had them on my previous fretless). Eventually did some research – prompted by one of Scott Devine’s videos where he reviewed rounds vs flats vs tapewounds on the same bass – and gave it a try. The right choice! These LaBellas feel just right: nylon does not feel as slippery as metal flatwounds, but somewhat closer to the gut strings for upright; they sound thumpier than rounds and flats; have the mwah. And they are black! Makes for a cool look against black fretboard 🙂 Longevity – remains to be seen, but they have no sheen to lose, neither do they seem to have the potential to catch dirt. A keeper, definitely.
