Careful….the description says it works with Jeep products and that may be true for vehicles that are older then 2018. FCA authorization is not required for basic scans, but it is required for clearing DTC codes and advanced functionality like system tests and actuations or adding key fobs. Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) implemented a secure gateway module that was introduced on 2018 and newer model vehicles. Access to certain diagnostic functions requires registration and authentication through an approved service (AUTOAUTH) for all aftermarket scan tools. You can buy access for $50 supports unlocking of the FCA gateway to enable enhanced diagnostics on 2018 and newer FCA vehicles (Jeep, Fiat, Chrysler, Dodge).

This compact scan tool impressed me with how many features it has. It’s great for the DIY mechanic but is also capable enough to be used by a pro. The android based software works flawlessly and the bi directional controls are great for troubleshooting. Also seems very rugged and resistant to damage, will definitely get a lot of use from it. 10/10 highly recommended!

This is a compact little scanner with a lot of punch. This covers many makes and models has fast wifi download speeds for updates, and has free updates. This is more then a pocket code reader. It’s a little slow to load and find auto vin, but overall preforms great. Has many features from code reading and clearing, live data, special functions like fuel injector cut off, reset cam and crank sync and much more. I recommend this for a good entry level scanner and portable diagnostic tool. Comes in its own soft sided case and easy to maneuver the operating system.
