It had a huge dent in the side of the fryer. The metal isn’t flimsy so I can’t bend it out.

It’s a great tool not only to fry but to boil vegetables for canning…beets, peaches and corn on the cob

Holy Cow!!!! Let me first start by saying this thing is HUGE! I was looking for something that I could deep fry potatoes in for a family.. I clearly didn’t look at the dimensions and clearly should order when I’m awake vs when laying in bed lol.
However, after the initial shock of my late night purchase wore off, I thought this would be great for whole chicken and turkey. And my goodness was I correct.
I prepared my whole chicken per the inserted directions. I filled fryer to the max line. I set it to 375 per the directions. It took about 35 minutes for it to reach the desired temp. Once the oil was ready I carefully loaded the whole chicken into fryer using the included handle.
Now be careful on this step, the oil is HOT and could pop. I’m good though I was prepared! I closed lid and cooked it 4-5 minutes per pound of chicken, so about 30ish minutes. Also be careful when touching fryer because the lid gets hot to the touch. Sides got warm but bearably safe to touch. Removal was easy.
Overall, I love my insanely big fryer. The chicken was done to perfection and super juicy. The product is super easy to clean. I appreciate the oil drain also, made it easy to discard oil.
As a side note I plugged it into a standard wall outlet and the cord never got hot. My family recommends.

ย This fryer is awesome. I tried it out with pork chops. I was able to put in three layers. They were all done within eight minutes. Great capacity, speed and quality. Very easy to use.

Cooks a turkey perfect , just be shore to dry all water off the turkey and when you put it in the hot oil lower it very slow little at a time .
Then put cover down and set timer for 80 mins for a 20 pound Turkey .4 mins per pound breast was 180-185 F

I had an old electric cajun fryer the broke a few years back (at least 8 yrs). The mount broke for the heating element. When I contacted the company they were no longer in existence. I was able to make it work. But when I saw this fryer I was gun shy. It didn’t heat up as high as my old cooker. It was cheaper and looked more fluff than substance. I finally have in and purchased. When I got it, yes it felt less sturdy than my old cooker and it was missing the drainage spout. Man this wasn’t looking good. Until…
Until I cooked with it. One of the best fried turkeys I’ve ever cooked. Contacted customer service and they sent the spout out to me after verification. Now after multiple cooks, I wish I had precursor 2 maybe 3. This is a quality cooker, easy to drain and clean. Even more so with the spout. I would recommend this for all outdoor chefs and weekend warriors.

I bought this fryer on the urging of a coworker and found that every wonderful thing she said about it was true. It is easy to operate, cooks like nobodyโs business. I used at home for a family dinner and they loved how easy it was to use and how crisp the food was. We just cooked some chicken but our next adventure we are going to try a whole turkey. It doesnโt use a lot of oil and disposal was quick and easy once the oil cooled down enough to handle. We returned the used oil to the container it came from by using the handy spout. Oh yes the wire basket was the good for not having to fish each piece of chicken out ๐ Definitely a Good Buy for me

We got this to fry whole chickens and then used it to make our 12 lb thanksgiving turkey.
It is so easy to clean, the element comes right out so there’s no cords or anything to clean around. (my favorite thing about it)
It gets to the right temperature and holds it consistently. This is what DH loves most about the fryer – he does all the frying.
We used to use a more rustic setup with a propane burner but it is just too dangerous with kids and pets around. This is much better, fully contained, we just set it on a sturdy table outside and plug it in about 40 minutes before we want to cook so that we know the oil is ready.
We use a buttermilk + salt soak for 48 hours, then we rinse that off, pat the bird dry, and if we have time we put it in our convection oven at the lowest temp (100 degrees F) for an hour or two to make sure it is totally dry. This isn’t necessary but it prevents any spattering when lowering the bird into the oil. Then we fry at 350 for 4-5 minutes per pound. We use a thermometer to check the thigh meat and if its good we pull the bird and rest for 15-30 minutes depending on the size before carving. This is the most simple most reliably delicious poultry we’ve ever had. It helps that we use peanut oil but you can fry with other oils too.
We have also fried frozen appetizers like lumpia, egg rolls, tempura shrimp, etc but mostly we use this for whole birds.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Worked amazing but after one use this stopped working. I followed all careful cleaning instructions etc I was really loooking forward to using this year round. Might have just been a one off situation.
