S. Ziemer –
I carry one of these around with me at all times, they have gotten squished, soaked, and thrown but the pages have always stayed in tact without any ink bleed. I am not personally a fan of the removable pages at the end of the book as they tend to come out on their own but there are plenty of pages before those ones that I count them as only a bonus. A great set of notebooks that are easy to carry around due to their size.
The Curious Otter –
Extremely useful and well designed. A favorite. I will definitely get some more of these, it’s simply a very cool item.

I’ve bought these journals over the past several years and use them for note-taking and sketching on a daily basis. The small size, flexibility and durability of these notebooks is ideal for travel anywhere.

Love the small size, the quality, the simplicity. Use for daily notes

These are small enough to pop into handbags or pockets and are perfect for jotting down important information. E.g. address of the hotel youโre staying in, important phone numbers in case your mobile runs out of charge, recurrent shopping requirements. All just helps to jog the aging memory.
Elderly relatives with dementia carried one for important info e.g. where they lived (in case they wandered off the beaten path).
We found them invaluable for all sorts of important information NO passwords or credit card numbers in case they got lost, but GP name and address, next of kin, etc to help if they got lost.
I would buy again for peace of mind for elderley relativeโs. Mum says it gave here peace of mind too.

This size of Moleskine is perfect for fitting in a pocket and serves me well as my “everything” notebook. I use it to sketch out ideas, remember contacts, to do lists, even take notes in class when I can’t find my larger notebook in the mess of life. This notebook is always in my pocket and is replacing my Galaxy Note 4 for note taking, lists and anything I need to write down quickly (especially due dates). I usually use .38mm ballpoint pens and sometimes .5mm mechanical pencils.
Moleskine is The Brand Name for notebooks. The paper has an excellent texture that is great for ink and graphite and the pages are good thickness, balancing portability and durability. The highlight of the craftsmanship however, is the binding: small consistent, durable stitching.

These notebooks are nice and thin, with flexible covers. I like that they aren’t bulky and they lay flat when you open them. I have one or two of them nearby at all times to take down notes or do sketches in. The pages are strong, but not stiff. Nor are they thick and wetter media will show through, so it is inconvenient to use both sided of the page if you’re using heavy black ink such as fountain pens or felt tips. Ball-points and pencils are ideal in these books.
I haven’t yet decided if I am going to continue buying these, or carry on the search for the perfect notebook. They’re useful, simply made and inexpensive, but still… I’m not in love.

I’ve been using little notebooks like this since I was a kid, doodling sketches and passing notes. I keep one in my car and one in my purse or pocket, and they’re still invaluable to me as a adult. Jotting down to-do items, creating a quick sketch, leaving a note for someone, and more; once you start keeping a tiny notebook on hand, you will see how many uses there are for it!
This particular book is small and flexible enough to put in a front or back pocket if you have no other way to carry it. The paper is a nice quality for both pencil and pen, but I try not to use extremely โliquidโ inks since I have had occasional problems with bleed-through. The history of Moleskine is interesting, check out the photo for an informational pamphlet contained within the package.

Perfect for tucking in your pocket or purse, so thin and flexible, but strong–they hold up well. Sort of a versatile “diary” to record random information. I like the plain (no lines) so I can draw a diagram or write small or large or whatever. Since this slips so easily into almost anything I carry, I always have something permanent to make a note in, which is easily retrieved later. And the pocket on the back inside cover can hold business cards, stamps, etc..
Also, for an organizational system, I bought several packs of these in different colors to record information for reference. I label these “Health” (enter symptoms, visits, tests, etc. with dates), “Guests” (include dates and menus), “Weight” (if I’m keeping track!),”Auto” (what and when repairs were done), “Computer” (problems to have my kid teach me how to deal with when he visits!), etc.–you get the idea. This works better for me than most files and other systems I’ve tried! Probably because they’re accessible–they can be tucked into a small convenient space, and are good-looking enough to mingle with the dรฉcor.

I got these as a gift for my dad along with a beautiful leather cover for this size that I got on Etsy. They don’t need a cover though, but it is really nice looking and can be refilled endlessly with this style/size of moleskine cahier. My dad keeps a journal with him all the time and this is his favorite size as it fits easily in his pocket. He has used these for years and they survive well over time.

Love the quality of the Moleskin. The cover can get dirty easily, but still a very lightweight and very portable notebook.
