These eye nut tie downs and all supplied parts are stainless steel and are extremely well made. They fit my Thule Wingbar Evo perfectly and required no modifications. I added a 7.5 mm nylon spacer between the bar and eye nut. This prevents the threaded screw from extending into the eye nut. For max. strength and safety, the eye nut should always be installed parallel to the bar as this is the correct way to use an eye nut with side loading.

I didn’t know what to eciect. All I knew was Thule wanted $147 for two eye bolts! So I searched Amazon and found these. Bacon said these are “frequently returned”. Let me just tell you that I just ordered two more (16)! These are STURDY, thick, heavy eye bolts. They fit my Thule caprock platform rack perfectly. I really love these. The opportunities for these are huge. I just ordered more to hang lanterns and a towel drying line from the t-slots on the side of my rack. I have no idea why you’d return these. They are fantastic! For Thule I ordered 8 x black 8 mm and they’re perfect. I would say they send tons of washers. Not sure if I’m going something wrong because I only used one per eye bolt?? You will be very happy you purchased these eye bolts!

Fits perfect in the T-slot on top of my Thule Xsporter, and I used the grinding wheel to narrow the edges so I could utilize them on the bottom of my rack as well. Great for clipping carabiners with items from garbage bags, bottle openers, or even coat hangers for drying out life jackets and more. May buy another set depending how my needs change. Also used them to hang the cargo net from the trunk of my car to put our shoes in so we didn’t bring them in our RTT.

Great fit on trailex trailers with t-track. Great for use as a tie-down. In my case I attached a block to assist with stepping the mast on my wayfarer. Load is minimal in this case, just needed to run a line from the forestay back to the mast step to cleat so I can step out of the boat to secure the forestay in its proper place. Probably dozens of uses for these.

Good tie-downs. The bases were a little wide for the t-slots in my roof rack so I used a grinder to trim them down to fit.

Not sure choose issue the sizing is. Quality and parts are fine. I had to grind the thickness down from over 4 mm to 3 mm and reduce the width from 20 to 19 mm

I bought these to easily tie / strap items to my roof rack cross bars. I have the OEM crossbars on my 2013 subaru legacy (I believe they are made by Yakima) and I also have an Adarac crossbar set up for my truck. These bases slid into the channels of both crossbars perfectly with no trimming. I would definitely buy these again.

I have a hardshell FSR roof top tent and these fit great. Adding tie down points on all sides. Super secure. Heavy duty.
I used a large screw driver to tighten them and align to the angle I desired.
Highly recommend. Would order again if I found the need for more of this style of tie-down.
