12V .5A DC power supply puts out full 12 volts. Is smaller than many big and bulky supplies. Perfect replacement for older supplies that are not producing the proper output.

• I recommend that all power supplies be measured for accuracy. I recently received one that claimed to be 12 volts DC and .5 amps. When measured via multimeter, I found the voltage to be 18 and the amps 4. I quickly returned the power supply as not being as advertised.

The intent was to power a CCTV camera and saw “CCTV surveillance camera” in the title; it’s my fault for not noticing that 2A are required for this purpose. Otherwise the item is up to spec.

Exactly what’s needed to power 12v fan in window. Power delivery is as rated, so good on that. Like the compact and light form factor for easy plug in. So far so good.

My side hustle is selling wood crafts. I make shadow boxes with different layers of cut and painted wood spaced apart. I place small strips of LED strip lights at various locations to add a lighted and shadowed look. A single 16-foot strip of lights will provide lights for several boxes, but there is only a single transformer, so I need extra transformers.
I tested this transformer with a full 16-foot length of lights and with a shadow box. It worked fine and did not warm up or overheat the lights. My standard is the 5.5/2.1mm connector, and this plugged into it with no problems.
Although overpriced, I would consider purchasing this again. I will just pass the cost on to the customer.

This is a good transformer for 12 volt, low amp situations, such as security cameras. The idle current draw is low, and the transformer stays cool. The wire and case seems to be durable, and it is small, not at all bulky like some transformers are.
